This North Cliff Cutie is in The Heart of a Conservation District

Oak Cliff is lousy with preservationists, which is no surprise to our readers. But did you know that Winnetka Heights isn’t the only notable conservation district in the area?

Besides Winnetka, North Cliff was one of the first conservation districts in the city. They snagged that status in 1996 and added the street toppers, like, the next day. It’s adjacent to Ravinia Heights and located in Oak Cliff proper. Not across the Trinity, off Singleton, or even Westmoreland. (That’s a total call-out for some.)

North Cliff is a cute little neighborhood that feels a lot like Elmwood in its friendliness, close-knit community, and a serious love of the area.

There’s an entire timeline on the North Cliff neighborhood website of accomplishments starting in 1988 when they created and developed a central-city neighborhood association from the ground up. Why so much detail? As I said, people that live here love it here and look out for others and their neighborhood.

There’s a little pop happening … a Peabody Coffee that’s likely paving the way for even more trendy little hot spots. The Bishop Arts District is about a 10-minute drive, downtown Dallas is incredibly convenient as well.

And this house? Well, it’s just about as cute as can be.

An Updated North Cliff Home Ready For Anything

It’s been completely updated, there’s a large backyard with a railed-in porch, storage building, parking pad, and still enough grass to set up that winter game of badminton you’ve been meaning to get to. I am also very aware that “railed-in” porch sounds weird, but you get the gist. It paints a picture.

Inside, the space is warm and cozy and I already said the magic words — updated. But let’s start on the front porch. It’s covered and HUGE. There’s a gardening bench out there and it would be the best place to plant and grow your very own potted garden.

The color scheme on the exterior reminds me of the countryside and the roofline adds to it. It’s quaint and charming. The kind of house you want to come home to today after a day running around, working, or just erranding your little heart out.

Inside, there are arched doorways and a cute little window in the breakfast nook to match. The stone-look tile adds to the warmth in the kitchen and you know it never hurts when the sellers have such great style. Also nice to see some curtains in the kitchen to contrast the stark white cabinets and stainless steel appliances. It’s a great debate I just had in my own head so a tip of the cap, Owners of Aster.

The primary bathroom is exceptionally large and has a really grand feel with the black tile built-in seat in the mega shower. It’s separated by a sliding barn door and I love that with all the modern there’s a really charming pedestal sink.

One of the three bedrooms is currently used as a dual office and the other is the library of your dreams with a leaning ladder. All in all, it’s modern, the location is tops, and cute as can be.
