Raise your hand if you had a Lincoln Log set when you were a kid.

Aside from Legos, the Lincoln Logs were my favorite. Nothing was more fun than building log cabin homes … and then of course selling them to my favorite Star Wars and G.I. Joe figures.

Is that The BowTie Realtor as a child? I’ll never tell

Now imagine if you had a life-size Lincoln Log set. How much fun would that be?

You don’t have to imagine any longer because today’s Tarrant County Tuesday travels 14 miles North from downtown Fort Worth to a five-acre fenced property with its very own log cabin.

The log cabin home is as American as apple pie, George Jones, and bald eagles.

Log Cabin Living

When building a log cabin, they probably don’t notch out the logs like the Lincoln Log toys, but it would be pretty cool to see how they do it. Nonetheless, the authenticity of this home both interior and exterior make this a truly one-of-a-kind dwelling and certainly a talking point with friends or at parties.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to tell people that you live in a real log cabin? How many people in the world can say that these days?

This log cabin is very authentic, both inside and out.

Unlike the settlers and early pioneers who built these cabins, this home comes with wonderful updates and amenities. Not only does the home have running water and electricity but a modern primary bathroom, swimming pool, and a 60-foot by 60-foot horse barn with five stalls and plenty of storage for an RV or farming equipment.

Fresh siding has been installed on the exterior of the barn.
I guarantee that settlers didn’t have a swimming pool with their log cabins.

In total, the home is 4,500 square feet with five bedrooms and three-and-one-half bathrooms. The primary suite on the second floor is massive. Literally, it’s massive! There is so much space that it can not only be a bedroom but a private lounging area as well.

The primary suite has plenty of space for a bed and lounging area.

While not quite as large, the primary bathroom is still spacious with stylish finishes and amenities such as a claw-foot tub and a comfortable shower area.

Take a short drive to 2200 White Lane in Haslet (which is still Tarrant County) off Interstate 35 W North and Highway 287 West. You’ll feel like you’re in another world as soon as you get there. Enjoy the vistas and sounds of nature as you sit on the front porch. During chilly times, cozy up to the stone fireplace in the open floor plan family area.

Surely this home comes with one of those triangles you ring for meals? If not, listing agent Mike Garza will buy you one 🙂

When the holidays come, dinner with friends and family will be a breeze in the centrally-located kitchen and eating area.
