It Only Takes A Spark: Find Your Dream Home This Independence Day Weekend

As festivities kick off around the metroplex this Fourth of July weekend, it’s also a good time to stop by an open house and see if sparks fly.

This week’s picks in the suburbs are perfect for celebrating and entertaining guests on a holiday weekend.

Which of our CandysDirt.com Open Houses of the Week will you visit?

The Belle of The Ball

There’s plenty of sunshine beating down on the Metroplex this summer. Why not let it in through the huge windows of a 3,642-square-foot home at 838 Belltown Drive, Allen?

The five-bedroom, four-bath, newly-constructed home features a landscaped backyard, spacious family room, and a kitchen built for entertainment. The primary suite has a sitting room that could double as a baby nursery. The stunning and spacious abode is listed for $911,400.

Allen is home to an annual fireworks show in late June, so it’s already passed, but the city hosts events year-round and is set to open the brand-new $54 million Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center next summer.

Realtor Ben Caballero with HomesUSA.com is hosting open houses at the Belltown property from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 2, and Sunday, July 3.

Let Freedom Ring

The city of Plano is hosting the All-American Fourth Festival and Fireworks on the north side of the Collin College parking lot July 4, but the real smoke show is at 2229 All Saints Lane, Plano.

This custom Goodman home in Cambridge Place at Russell Creek features four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Priced at $899,000, the new owners will be getting lots of bang for their buck. Several upgrades have been made to this 2004 home, including hardwood floors, a new driveway, balcony, two fireplaces, and premium textured paint.

Granite countertops, a huge island, stainless steel appliances, and upgraded cabinets adorn the kitchen. Custom drapes, a bar, and a media room with pre-wired surround sound cover all the bases for comfortable living and entertaining.

The kids will attend exemplary-rated Plano ISD schools. And if you need to get out of the house, the city has several special events, including the All-American Fourth Festival. The family-friendly gathering includes music, food vendors, shopping, and static parade floats starting at 6 p.m. July 4, with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Realtor Jagjit Malhotra, brokered by Ready Real Estate LLC, is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 2.

Baby, You’re A Firework

Spend your Independence Day teeing off at the Oakmont Golf Course, then retreating back to your new home at 1507 Pine Hills Lane, Corinth, for a dip in the pool and a party with guests.

The home has 2,714 square feet of luxury, with four bedrooms, three full baths, and a gorgeous double vanity and frameless shower in the primary suite.

Listed at $575,000, this Pine Hills abode is a rare find, with a stunning backyard oasis — heated pool, spa, waterfalls, large rocks, palm trees, Travertine grill, and covered patio with mounted television. If that doesn’t light up the sky like the Fourth of July, we’re not sure what does.

Realtor Debbie Warford with Home Solutions Realty is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2.
