So much has changed since 2020, when we all had to start quarantining to save the lives of our friends, family, and neighbors. For the East Dallas Area MLS, everything changed.

You could set your watch by the East Dallas MLS meetings, which were always well-attended. But when COVID hit, the meetings were put off indefinitely. And then the Luby’s on Mockingbird Lane — the longtime venue for the meeting — shuttered.

However, Kevin Caskey says that not only is the East Dallas MLS meeting this week on April 6, but they have a whole new venue.

“Area MLS meetings have been a part of my weekly schedule for over 20 years but halted abruptly with the pandemic,” Caskey said. “After the necessary hiatus, it is exciting to say they are beginning again in an updated fashion as area Realtor meetings.”

The new meeting spot is actually a brand new shingle hanging in East Dallas. After BuzzBrew’s took over the spot formerly known as The Tipperary Inn, the place was missing a little luck of the Irish. Now there’s Brewer’s Arms, a pub connected to BuzzBrew’s at 5815 Live Oak. Timed for the first Wednesday of the month, breakfast and networking will commence at 8:30 a.m. with the content portion of the meeting beginning at 9.

This week, Dawn Moore, president of Allegiance Title, will be presenting to the group and she’s just as excited to be back and in person as we are.

“Real estate is about relationships, and it is difficult to solidify relationships through technology only,” Moore said. “I will be happy to see faces and people I have missed.”
