Custom Accents Help Set This East Dallas Home Apart From The Pack

Share News:

Over in far East Dallas, there’s a real cute little three-bedroom, two-bathroom home for sale. It’s updated and filled with the modern touches we all love — designer lighting, updated fixtures, replaced kitchen cabinets, subway tile, and super durable and quite lovely laminate wood flooring. The bathrooms are stellar and everything feels so fresh.

Two other killer call-outs are the accent walls. Personal touches that make this house feel cozy and custom. In the dining room, one wall is lined with distressed wood, and in the kitchen there’s a wraparound distressed wood casing at the end of the bar.

Then, cast iron piping creates open shelves tucked away in the breakfast nook for your show plates or possibly commemorative plates if you’ve been collecting those from Time-Life.

A cool gray on the walls sets the tone for some delightful contemporary feel, and the natural light pouring into this one is no joke. The bathrooms are perfection — cool grays, fresh granite, and complete remodels.

All that plus a huge corner lot with the greenest grass you can handle. Off the primary suite there’s already a patio, and if you wanted to add a pool, trampoline, or whole backhouse there’s plenty of room. Out front, there’s a side yard where you could add additional seating, a firepit, or do whatever you want.

And this home feeds into Skyline High School, which is the country’s first magnet high school and also the 12th largest high school in the nation. Skyline offers technology, arts, STEM, and humanities programs and is designed to “prepare and challenge each student, promote a college-going culture and help students realize their full potential.” High schoolers also have “the opportunity to earn up to 60 houses of college credit and an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree from Cedar Valley College while completing their high school coursework.” Wow followed by whee.

    Great articles!

Can you tell me who the architect is that’s been doing these great remodels? We have an old A Frame in Murchison, TX outside of Tyler that needs some TLC.
