This Soft Contemporary Got REAL with a Little Bit of Metal Roof

What a fun little stunner that feeds into Merriman Park Elementary. Get ahold of those pearls. This one is a soft contemporary that they made more contemporary by adding that pleasant little pop of metal roof. Someone knows their stuff over here.

It’s on a corner lot and she’s oversized. Room for a big backyard with a yard AND a fantastic pool that we’re all going to invite ourselves over to any minute now.

In the main living area, they added stacked stone around the fireplace and painted the surrounding brick and bookshelves a warm white (versus a cool, where-are-my sunglasses, someone-help-me-my-retinas-are-burning-that’s-way-too-white white. You know what I’m talking about. We’ve all seen it and said under our breaths, well that was a misstep. Hey, paint mistakes happen, but guess where they didn’t happen? HERE.). OK, back to the story of how cool this house is …

In what would have been and still is the secondary living off the kitchen, they added a wall of built-in cabinets. These owners saw an amazing storage opportunity and they went for it. With the addition of a vintage desk and three letters on the wall (S-E-W), they’re giving you a big head’s up that someone in this house is crafty and now has all the covered-up cubbies they can handle. The room is so big, there’s still space for an oversized loveseat, lounger, and yet another way cool vintage desk. Did I mention those cabinets are taller than average so if you’re a standing desk guy or gal that likes to get stuff done, it’s the perfect mega-surface?

The kitchen has been reworked to add additional storage in there, too, and a long window-length bench seat to maximize the space. Gorgeous white cabinets and clean quartz countertops keep it modern and classy. The kitchen also looks out to the pool and what a killer view.

The primary bedroom is huge and in the ensuite bathroom, they (mostly) kept the original footprint but made it modern. I love a back-to-back vanity. You know back in the day you used to see this a lot coupled with an almost in-ground bathtub. REAL thankful these owners know what’s up. (They took out the low low bathtub and instead created a massive spa shower.)

If you’d like to take a look at 9602 Windy Terrace Drive, pop into the Open House hosted by Ebby Halliday’s Sheri Stout, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 19. It’s listed at $774,500.
