Garland Townhome Is Primed For First-Time Homebuyers or Investment

This week’s Inwood Home of the Week, sponsored by Inwood National Bank, is a lovely little townhome near Firewheel in Garland. If you haven’t been out that way on President George Bush Turnpike, it’s time to take another look at Garland.

Located just 10 minutes or so from this week’s featured home, Firewheel Town Center is an open air shopping mall with national department stores, homegrown boutiques, and popular dining. Ferah Tex-Med puts a Texas spin on Mediterranean, and I hear Wildwood is amazing.

There are plenty of jobs available in Garland, known as an industrial and manufacturing hub. According to the Garland Economic Development Corporation, it’s the No. 1 ranked industrial market in the DFW region for new construction and leasing.

The city announced in Oct 2020 that GroundFloor Development will redevelop four acres in Downtown Garland into a modern mixed use development called The Draper. The developer is currently working on a sizeable mixed use development in Austin set to open soon, which will include a public market surrounded by a new hotel and office space.

What I’m trying to say is this townhome listed by Jenny Capritta of RE/MAX DFW Associates could be a great first home or worthwhile investment property for the right buyer.

The 1,089-square-foot home has two bedrooms and two baths set on two-stories, and is ideally located steps away from the community pool. The open floor plan home has been updated in a soft gray pallet and vinyl plank flooring. The kitchen features granite countertops, a breakfast bar, a stainless refrigerator, and an adjacent laundry area with washer and dryer. The living-dining area are enhanced by a brick fireplace and views of private courtyard that leads to two reserved parking spaces. The second story level has two bedrooms and a refurbished bath.

Jenny Capritta of RE/MAX DFW Associates has listed 641 Carriagehouse Lane Apt 2K for $169,950.
