Gorgeous Remodel in Far North Dallas Has All The Clean Lines

Before being updated prior to sale, 6748 Winterwood was tidy but unremarkable from the curb.

With as many flips that are hitting the market, we’ve been enjoying taking a look on Google Maps to see what a home looked like before receiving a facelift before hitting the market. Sometimes a glance back at a home before its closeup makes it on Zillow is rather disappointing.

Instead of “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” it’s more like an “I Spy” of spotting the updates.

This house falls in the former category, rather than the latter. And the changes are very satisfying.

With a coat of paint (or two) 6748 Winterwood is now eye-catching from the curb.

This home’s makeover definitely shows the difference a coat of paint can make. Inside, the home is the definition of light, bright, and airy.

I know all-white interiors have received some negative feedback in recent months, but I have to say that if you collect art or memorabilia, white walls are what you want. And this home, even despite it’s crazy-open floor plan that connects the living room and the dining room via the kitchen, has plenty of room on the walls.

Let’s talk about that kitchen.

The vaulted ceilings and lack of walls makes the kitchen feel like it’s ready for you to launch your cooking show on Youtube or hosting chef’s table-style meals or sushi rolling classes — basically it’s huge and pimped out and I want it.

The kitchen sports quartz counter tops, more counter and storage space than you know what to do with, stainless steel appliances, a gas cooktop, and two counter-height bars.

The home has three bedrooms and two baths, and both bathrooms received remodels featuring frameless a frameless glass shower, a jetted tub, and designer tile. The primary suite is spacious and has plenty of natural light. However, the large walk-in closet with custom shelving is definitely a perk.

In all, this 1969-built contemporary has 2,137 square feet. Thanks to the continuous flooring and bright white paint, it looks much larger.

And while the interiors are beautiful, it’s the backyard that is going to bring all the buyers this weekend.

Listing agent Jolette Ryon-Schoeve of Century 21 Judge Fite Company, the backyard is a veritable outdoor oasis. I don’t disagree. In fact, the diving pool would have really come in handy yesterday when I returned from my morning jog with my husky as we both needed to cool off quickly. One extra-large cannonball, please!

Obviously the large pine deck and cedar benches will be perfect for pool parties, or really any party, especially when temperatures start to go down and it’s not hot enough to make Satan sweat.

Jolette Ryon-Schoeve of Century 21 Judge Fite Company has listed 6748 Winterwood Lane in the Far North Dallas neighborhood of Preston Meadows for $485,000.
