Philip White: Buyers And Sellers Need The Leadership of Professional Agents in This Wild Market

Share News:

“Clients need trusted sources to help them navigate a fast-paced and low-inventory market.”

Those words of wisdom come from Philip White, the president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty. White knows a lot about real estate markets all over the world. And, he’s right: In this hot market, buyers and sellers need the leadership of professional agents more than ever.

Philip White

The market is so robust that White shared some eye-opening brand milestones from the first half of 2021. During this time, Sotheby’s International Realty has:

• Maintained its No. 1 position in the Individuals by Closed Sales Volume category in the Real Trends “The Thousand” list, accounting for 20 percent.

• Expanded its presence in the Middle East and the Caribbean, bringing the brand’s total presence to 75 countries and territories, with plans for continued international and domestic growth

• Secured 30 percent press share of voice by volume, per Meltwater [a media monitoring company], from January 1, 2021, through June 30, 2021, cementing Sotheby’s International Realty as the most profiled luxury real estate brand.

• Won a prestigious Webby Award for Best Real Estate Website in the People’s Voice category.

• Launched Luxury Outlook, the brand’s new global market report outlining anticipated luxury and wealth trends, with more than 660 press outlets reporting its findings.

• Increased the brand’s YouTube viewership to a new record — nearly 20 million views — reinforcing the network’s dedication to high-quality content and innovation.

• Hosted the brand’s first virtual Global Networking Event, with a record 10,000 attendees from 73 countries.

Robbie Briggs

At Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, the longtime North Texas affiliate of Sotheby’s International Realty, they’ve hit some exciting midyear milestones, too. CEO Robbie Briggs has shared a few eye-opening statistics with us, all compared to the prior year:

• The brokerage’s Ranch and Land division’s sales are up by a whopping 230 percent.

• The brokerage’s North office, which serves Plano, Frisco, McKinney and beyond, has seen an increase in sales of 150 percent. Its Turtle Creek office’s sales are up by 86 percent.

• Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty is the top-selling brokerage in all of Oak Lawn, a Dallas neighborhood that is definitely trending. In Fort Worth, the brokerage’s average home-sales price is up a substantial 20 percent.

• Overall, the brokerage’s total sales volume is up by a remarkable 65 percent — and its average home-sales price is up by 33 percent.

Yes, this is one of the hottest markets we have ever seen, too. If you are thinking about buying or selling, talk to a pro agent, ASAP. As Philip White just said to every Sotheby’s International Realty agent around the world, their role as skilled advisors in a market like this is “more important than ever.”
