Dallas Mavericks Can Now Say That Rogers Healy is Their Realtor With New Partnership Deal

  • Dallas-based real estate firm Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate to be the Official Real Estate Partner of the Dallas Mavericks

It was billed as big news happening come 4 p.m. July 13: Rogers Healy and Associates invited media, VIPs, and agents to gather at HERO at Victory Plaza for some big, big news. And with Healy’s dramatic flair, he put on a BIG impressive, presentation as he drew the throngs into the plaza and then up popped Rogers on the giant screen.

I suspected the announcement would have something to do with Mark Cuban and the Mavericks because Healy has represented many professional athletes throughout his real estate career. Tony Romo and Rogers were once roommates. Rogers attended Southern Methodist University (he studied psychology and advertising), where the young entrepreneur first dabbled in real estate as an undergrad as a rental agent.

Then Rogers went to Los Angeles for about a year to conquer the movie industry with his good looks, humor, and height: Rogers is six-and-a-half-feet tall and you can always find him in a crowded room. His height landed him a role in Glory Road, a movie in which he played a basketball player.

In LA he cultivated a network of contacts. Because Rogers markets in his sleep, he leveraged those celebrity contacts by getting Britney Spears to wear one of his branded T-shirts — the photo went viral: “Rogers Healy is my Realtor.”

An early devotee of social media, he tweeted constantly. Healy was wise enough to know that his fresh-from-college contemporaries would be leasing apartments and then, ultimately buying homes. So he returned to Dallas and got into real estate. After working for Briggs-Freeman Sotheby’s as a freshman agent, he launched his own brokerage in 2006. He was 26.

Now he’s 40, married, and never been more committed to the brokerage that bears his name. Addressing his real estate troops in Victory Plaza — beautiful women, handsome young men — the big screen promised something big.

And it was big news: the Dallas Mavericks and Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate announced a multi-year partnership, naming Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate as the Official Real Estate Partner of the Dallas Mavericks.

“I’m excited to partner with Rogers Healy and Associates,” said Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Cuban was not, however, at the event. But he sure knows Rogers. “We have known each other for years. Looking forward to being partners for even longer!”

The exclusive partnership includes signage at American Airlines Center, in-game celebrity recognition, and inclusion in additional initiatives throughout the season.

“The Dallas Mavericks is a premier sports organization, and our company is thrilled to be able to serve as the Official Real Estate Partner of the Dallas Mavericks,” said Healy, owner and CEO of the Rogers Healy Companies. “Combining our roster of MVP real estate professionals, with the recognition of the Dallas Mavericks is an all-star combination!”

I asked agents, excited and delighted by the news, what this will mean to their business.

“It will help with recognition, definitely — we will be known as the Mavericks’ Realtors,” said one.

“This will really help with recruiting,” said another.

“Our name will be all over AA Center during games, in the programs — wow. That’s huge!” said another agent.

Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate will also partner with Mavs Care, serving in an in-depth capacity on several community outreach initiatives. Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate will also partner on the “The Truth to POWER” Project.

“The Dallas Mavericks represent what Dallas stands for, and as a brokerage based in Dallas, I am thrilled to be able to share in that message,” Healy said. “We focus on a community-first approach here at the Rogers Healy Companies, and the Dallas Mavericks focus on community as a core principle, and together we will be able to empower the Dallas community in a stronger way.”

The independently owned real estate firm offers residential, recreational, and commercial, including buyer, seller, and renter representation, which is how it all began.

Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate also grew by more than 50 percent in 2020, quadrupled its leadership staff, and continues to grow all divisions in a market that has been very cooperative.
