Contemporary Vibes On Caulfield Drive

Share News:

Caulfield is just one of those streets people gravitate too. It’s gorgeous. It’s tree-lined. It’s in an established neighborhood and every home is different, unique and custom. It’s old school appeal. Some are traditional, some contemporary and some fall in between, but the one at 6812 Caulfield is just a stunner.

Even from the pictures you get the feeling that this home has hosted some legendary get togethers. Dave Perry-Miller’s Valerie Neely said, oh, that is definitely true.

It’s the second time she’s sold this home and she said one of the things she loves to see is how different people interpret the space. The living room is living large, and the previous couple had a dining table in there as well. This time around though, they stuck with straight living room vibes.

Neely said another thing she really loves about this home is the openness and not the blow out the walls, one big living space openness, but the way the windows invite the delightful outdoors in. It feels like one big flowing space.

They kept the original rock fireplace that was (and is) such a showpiece. It’s non-traditional but adds warmth and character and really anchors the room.

I think one of the most interesting updates the sellers did was replacing the traditional concrete decking around the pool with artificial grass. Neely shed some light on that too. She said in that neighborhood you typically get a backyard, or you have a pool, it’s very rare to have both. The artificial grass solves that dilemma in a way. You have your big, sparkling pool, but it’s surrounded by green that stays that way. I brought it up to a professional landscaper recently and he said though he hadn’t seen it before, it was a brilliant idea. Think of how hot decking in Texas can get and then, of course, there’s the slip factor. The artificial grass solves both and it’s so easy to maintain. Hats off, sellers, for your non-traditional thinking.

And you can’t beat the location of Caulfield. It’s in North Dallas, near the Tollway making Downtown, Uptown or the great northern suburbs beyond an easy drive. Of course, it feeds into Brentfield Elementary as well and I don’t have to even tell you how sought after that is.

If you’re interested in a sprawling contemporary with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3,098 square feet, give Neely a call or better yet, go take a look. There’s an Open House tomorrow, Sunday, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Neely has 6812 Caulfield Drive listed at $650,000.
