Agent Recruiting Efforts Result in Companywide Recognition

It may not have been a banner year for much else, but for residential real estate it was as good a year as any. Especially considering for a couple months, activity came to a near grinding halt. Industry leaders and local government worked quickly to navigate murky waters until it was crystal clear – people still needed to move. Whether escaping high taxes in another state, moving to the exurbs for more room, downsizing to save money or any other myriad of reasons North Texans had for pulling up stakes, clients would need real estate agents to help them do so.

Translation: they truly are the essential workers we’ve always known them to be.

Nowhere has that been more apparent than at the Ebby Halliday Companies. For seven straight months, the firm’s three brands – Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate and Williams Trew – have collectively been outpacing the competition in new listings, and pending and closed sales.

President & CEO Chris Kelly has repeatedly attributed these monthly achievements to agents.

“The flexibility, integrity and innovation of our agents has gotten the job done,” Kelly said. “We continue to build a reputation in the market and the industry for hiring the best.”

In fact, this year, the Ebby Halliday Companies hold the No. 1 spot for net recruiting in the entire lineup of HomeServices of America brands (approximately 50 brokerages nationwide). According to EHC Recruiting Specialist Shelly Nelson, 2020 will show a net gain of 122 agents (as of 11.30.20), 41 more than the next closest company.

“Year over year, our retention continues to improve as does the number of new hires,” Nelson said. “I joined the company during a pandemic, but you would not know it by this benchmark. Ebby is such an iconic brand and our industry-leading training along with our in-house marketing department set our company and agents apart. Having worked for some large brokerages, I can confidently say we offer resources others just don’t. I am very much looking forward to doing all I can to help attract even more new and experienced agents to join the incredible culture here.”

In 2020, Fort Worth-based Williams Trew Real Estate became the “home” of the Stephen Reich Group, respected farm-and-ranch professionals (Stephen Reich, Denny Ralls, Pattie Mackie, Cape Stripling, Caleb Pharr and Tammy Rokus) who annually close tens of millions of dollars in sales volume.

“My real estate practice is modeled upon the same values this company promotes,” Reich said. “We’re detail and customer service-oriented, we answer questions honestly, return calls and messages promptly, and address any issues or concerns tenaciously.”

Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agent DeCarla Anderson, who recently returned after being at another brokerage a little over a year, said, “I am beyond grateful to bring my group back to where my full-time real estate career started. A servant’s heart and exceptional service are the qualities we need most to help clients with buying or selling their homes. The Ebby Halliday Companies and its Associates champion this message every day.”

New Ebby Halliday agent Carley Newlin described her decision to join this way: “As a brand new agent, going with Ebby was an easy choice for me because of how at home everyone made me feel. I spoke with quite a few companies, and no others made me feel like they truly wanted me to succeed for my own sake. Nor could they give me the amazing tools that Ebby has to offer.”

The brand looks to build on the recruiting successes of 2020 in 2021. If you would like to join the Ebby Halliday Companies, please reach out to Nelson at 972-980-6600 or [email protected].
