Building a custom home is hard work. It’s one of the biggest investments you’ll make in your lifetime, so it’s absolutely worth the time it takes working with an architect and builder to bring your dream home to life. But not everyone has the time to design and build from scratch. That’s why the smart folks at Long Cove have a custom solution that’ll have you sitting on your lakeside deck in no time.
Long Cove has become a close-knit 1,200-acre second-home haven and a go-to weekend spot for many in the Metroplex. Long Cove, located on the clear, deep end of Cedar Creek Reservoir, was inspired by getaways like those of the Seaside and Watercolor communities in Florida.
Long Cove teamed up with John Boyd & Associates to create contemporary architectural plans for a neighborhood of new homes on Henderson Bay, and enlisted Robert Elliott Custom Homes, a CandysDirt.com preferred builder, to build the luxury homes.
“Having pre-designed floorplans and high-end finish selections in place saves a quite a bit of time, money and headache when building your home,” says Long Cove Realty President Josh Ellis. “One of our primary goals here at Long Cove is to make life as simple as possible for all of our homeowners in any way we can. Streamlining the building process is just one example of that in our community. We can shave months off the time it takes to be in your new home for a quicker, easier and more enjoyable building experience.”
The contemporary two-story Long Cove cottages have three different designs to choose from — Magnolia, Willow, and Hawthorne.
Magnolia is a three-bedroom, four and half-bath home that has an impressive 3,126 square feet with an additional 400+ square feet on the covered porch, which sits just outside the living room and dining area. The spacious lakeside porch features a gas fireplace and composite wood plank flooring with a view you can’t beat.
The contemporary kitchen features custom cabinetry with soft-close hardware, stainless steel appliances, and quartz countertops with plenty of room for meal prep.
Long Cove’s luxury cottage collection of homes have a little something for everyone, including bunk rooms for the very coolest kid experience. The Willow floorplan in particular has a huge bunk room that’ll sleep up to 10 easily, plus a window seat for the lucky cousin who calls it first.
The Hawthorne floorplan is ideally suited for multigenerational vacationing. It has a downstairs guest suite, which is perfect for vacationing with grandparents who’d have a hard time making it up the stairs, plus a second porch just outside the kitchen for morning coffee.
The contemporary cottages overlook Long Cove’s new 40-acre private and protected cove on Henderson Bay. Amenities include miles of hiking and biking trails, beach volleyball, lakeside bonfire pits, and an amphitheater. You’ll also have easy access to all the other amenities at Long Cove, including golf, tennis, pickleball, marina, sports field, and Lake Club pool.
