Every year, a local Fort Worth magazine has a special issue where they select a local builder and suppliers to build what they consider a “Dream Home.”

Year-after-year, extravagant homes are built in various Tarrant County locations showcasing the latest-and-greatest in materials, styles, and trends. It’s a great opportunity for local suppliers and contractors to be featured and for the magazine to make a killing off of advertising.

Open, light, bright and crisp are all words to describe the entry of 4000 Monticello Drive.

The 2004 Dream Home was created in the heart of the Monticello neighborhood in Fort Worth. This expansive mansion at 4000 Monticello Drive was created as a nearly 6,000-square-foot Mediterranean-inspired home with five bedrooms and six-and-one-half bathrooms. The interior was finished with the trendy 2004 colors, textures, plumbing fixtures, and flooring that was popular 16 years ago.

As with all eras, trends change. No longer are glazed kitchen cabinets in vogue. Gone are the days of heavy textured walls that look like frosting all over the place. Oil rubbed bronze finishes have been usurped by polished chrome, sleek, and clean surfaces.

No more faux finishes on cabinets in kitchen or dated granite choices

Dream Home Overhaul

The current owners of 4000 Monticello Drive decided in 2018 to take the Dream Home to the studs and make it an even Dreamier Home.

Today, after two years of laboring, 4000 Monticello Drive highlights current trends, colors, and materials as the updated home is now available for sale for $3.25 million.

Steel doors have been added to transition from the interior to the outdoor kitchen

With the help and expertise of Braswell Custom Homes, a complete overhaul was accomplished. The transformation is absolutely stunning. Not one room of the entire home was left untouched.

If you happen to catch yourself on fire…jump in the pool!

Even the outside is completely updated and improved to make the pool, spa, and congregating areas more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.

This “Dreamier Home” at 4000 Monticello Drive is now a bright, modern mix of sleek elegance and style. Sightlines are crisp and clean, and the home is filled with updated finishes and amenities that didn’t exist when the 2004 Dream Home was first built.
