Try Addison for Affordable Rentals Near North Dallas

Share News:

Since Sunday night, almost the minute that the tornado sirens went off across North Dallas and surrounding cities, we started posting information on our social pages and website to help the many thousands of readers affected directly by this multi-tornadic storm like we’ve never seen before.

For this week’s edition of Suburb Sunday, we looked on the map for the closest suburb near North Dallas and storm-affected areas, which took us to the bustling four-square-mile Dallas County town of Addison. If you’re looking for affordable rentals, here are three homes sorted by descending square footage that you could call home. If you have an available home for lease in the greater North Dallas and close suburbs, comment below or email [email protected] to help get the word out about your listing.

Honestly, this one may get overlooked on real estate apps because there’s a problem with the photos, but the overwhelming demand warrants pushing through some fuzzy photos. The newly-listed nearly 3,000-square-foot home has a family room with fireplace that flows into the breakfast bar and kitchen. The easy to care for backyard has sprinklers, and the front yard is maintained by the homeowners association. Fees are $222 quarterly. Pups are allowed here, sorry no cats. It has a car-two garage and appliances included, with built-in microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and washer. According to MLS, it can be leased for a minimum of 6 months and is also for sale for $399,000.

Address: 14830 Sopras Circle, Addison

  • Located near Belt Line Road and Midway Road
  • 3 bedrooms, 3 baths
  • 2,074 square feet
  • Listed by Micah Simmons of True Guard Property Management
  • $2,200/month

Here’s another listing with some photo challenges: No picture of the front, but going back to previous listings I can tell you this is a beautiful duplex home. (Google Streetview wasn’t any better with a big work truck parked in front. I’m sorry.)

But flipping through the rest of the photos, you’ll see this is a very soft contemporary with vaulted ceilings and step-down living area with a beautiful brick fireplace. The master bedroom is located downstairs and has dual sinks and a large walk-in shower with two showerheads. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a second living area that could be an office space. The backyard is a perfect little oasis with shade and trees for you (and your pets that are allowed here.)  It’s located on a quiet cul-de-sac and has a two-car garage.

This single-family two-story home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac near a walking and cycling trail, which is perfect for walking the doggos that are allowed here. With hardwood floors, warm painted walls, and lots of windows, this home is a nice, neat respite from the city. The homeowners association covers front yard maintenance and sprinklers and the backyard consists of a paved patio and pathway, so no need to worry about the lawn.
