Mediterranean Villa Is The Toast Of Turtle Creek Estates

Share News:

mediterranean Is living in a Mediterranean castle worth $12,000 a month?

If that’s a resounding yes, it will score the new tenant a total of three bedrooms, four and one-half bathrooms, and an elevator to carry residents to each of the three floors.

Described as a Mediterranean villa (it still looks like a castle), 3520 Blackburn St. is a swanky spot that can be yours, even if just temporarily. The home is actually also for sale, listed at $2 million, but the rental rate might be easier to swallow.

Built in 2006, the home overlooks Blackburn Lake and is walking distance from West Village, Turtle Creek Village, and Dallas Theater Center.

Room for everybody

The home boasts 5,225 square feet of space – so you could have a whole extra family in there and not even know it. The master bedroom is on the third floor, after all.

The master suite offers his-and-hers baths and a separate sitting room with a fireplace.

There are multiple living areas, three fireplaces, guest suites, and a three-car garage, so there should be no worries about accommodating visitors.

The expansive estate is at the corner of Turtle Creek Boulevard and Blackburn Street, in Dallas’ revered Oak Lawn area.

The oversized patio is a great place for barbecues – or just use one of the many decks or balconies. One thing is for sure about this home. You’ve got options.

School rules

Youngsters may at some point have to step away from the beautiful mansion and get an education.

In addition to private schools in the area, kiddos can opt for learning in Dallas ISD at Milam Elementary School, Spence Middle School or North Dallas High School.

Ben Milam Elementary scored a B overall from Txschools.gov, and followed with a C in student achievement, B in school progress, and an A in closing the gaps.

Alex W. Spence Talented/Gifted Academy, which serves grades six through eight, picked up a C overall, and earned a B in student achievement, A in school progress, and a C in closing the gaps. North Dallas High didn’t fare quite as well, scoring C’s across the board.

Timothy Schutze of Allie Beth Allman & Associates listed 3520 Blackburn St., Dallas, for $12,000 per month.
