The Altons: A New Kid In Town is Transforming Old East Dallas

Alex Prins with Coldwell Banker has listed 5509 Alton Avenue and 5511 Alton Avenue for $529,000 each, respectively.

These brother units in Old East Dallas shine, thanks to pioneering agent-turned-investor Alex Prins. Yes, it’s a two-fer, folks! This week’s Friday Five Hundred features two spectacular units in Old East Dallas. Both were finished, staged, and put up for sale by none other than the energetic and award-winning Alex Prins.

“Hey! Omg! They are finally done!” said the Coldwell Banker agent upon completion of his project at 5509 and 5511 Alton Avenue. “We feel like pioneers in this little pocket between Beacon Street and Munger Blvd. There is only one pre-existing new construction project in the area and one currently breaking ground. So we are excited to work this up-and-coming area near Santa Fe Trail and Woodrow Wilson High School early on.”

An Inside Look At “The Altons”

“The half at 5511 has a slightly different floor plan with different finishes,” adds Prins. “These units are brothers, but not identical twins.”

The Altons, as they are so aptly named, are a pair of new construction units built in 2019 and conveniently overlook the Santa Fe Trail. They sit on large lots within walking distance to Woodrow Wilson High School. And for Lower Greenville fans, The Altons put you minutes from all the lively dining and nightlife action too!

Boy, Do They Turn Heads!

Among the luxurious touches are gorgeous red oak floors, 10-foot ceilings, a gourmet quartz kitchen, and spa-like baths. Plus, there are two inviting living areas, as well as statement-making, floor-to-ceiling fireplaces.

Each unit has three bedrooms, two full and one-half bathrooms, plus a gracious 2,630-square-foot layout. And both come adorned with the highest quality finishes and attention to detail, which Prins carefully oversees himself.

“This project has been a labor of love,” said Prins. “This is my second project with this investor and I helped with some design ideas, my own staging, even painted some of the artwork on the walls. And I have been creating professional commercial video ads for The Altons too! Sometimes you have to go above and beyond to win the listing in this new market when the Realtor is being replaced with iBuyer and iSeller companies.”

Prime Locale With Future Bike Paths Near Uber HQ

In addition, the city recently passed bike path extensions down Abrams. Prins tells us, those bike paths will run right passed The Altons all the way to Deep Ellum! Another bonus, Prins says, is the fact that these units sit less than five minutes from the highly anticipated headquarters for Uber, where more than 3,000 employees would be stationed.

“They say average salary would be over $100,000 a year,” said Prins. “That is why my investor is trying to cultivate this Old East Dallas, sometimes VERY OLD, East Dallas area. He feels this is going to be the next hot spot. He has eyed this overlooked area and knows that a bullet train and Uber HQ would completely change to the landscape over here. So he is pumping full steam ahead with multifamily slightly above the half-a-million mark. Move aside Knox Henderson and Lower Greenville! There a new kid in town! Also, Woodrow and Long feed into this area and have great STEM, Math, IB, arts, and business programs.”
