Starwood Frisco

Judi Wright of Ebby Halliday Frisco has listed this beautifully-landscaped, nearly 8,000-square-foot home at 5008 Monterey Drive in the elite Starwood community for $2.3 million, and you’ve got to see the little extras it has inside.

First off, Jerry Jones’ Blue Star neighborhood of Starwood, just minutes from Plano and Frisco’s corporate headquarter alley, is the kind of luxury you’d expect from the magnanimous Cowboys owner. The 550-acre master-planned, 24-hour guard gated community of 900-plus families offers homes priced from $300,000 to more than $5 million. Wright tells us Monterey Drive is the premier street in this neighborhood with beautiful homes, lush landscaping, and nice topography in the community.

Pull into the circular drive and walk through the ornate double iron doors of this French Country-style home to find soaring ceilings and opulent flooring in this 2005-built five-bedroom, six -bath, and two half-bath home on an oversized .79-acre corner creek lot.

The home’s two studies are equally impressive. The executive study in the front of the home, which is enclosed by pocket doors, has coffered molding, custom built-in cabinetry and a unique built-in desk in a round sitting area with wooden shutters. The second study could be a “she study” behind the kitchen with a wall of built-ins for organizing projects, crafts, or wrapping.

The kitchen features granite countertops, butler’s pantry, pot filler, and plentiful storage in the custom cabinets and island. Stainless steel appliances include a built-in microwave, built-in refrigerator, commercial grade range and vent, convection oven, dual dishwashers, double oven, and a warmer oven drawer.

This home undoubtedly has a great floor plan. Tucked away in its own wing, the downstairs master suite has a double shower, his and hers sinks, jetted tub, and a linen closet in addition to the huge walk-in closet with custom cabinet system. All four guest bedrooms, one on the first floor and three located on the second floor, have en suite bathrooms with walk-in closets as well.

There are two game rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, that feature wonderful built-in cabinets for stowing away games, controllers, and toys.

Additional luxury features include a huge mudroom, media room, and wine cellar. A second-floor fitness room could be converted to a sixth bedroom or mother-in-law suite.

The exceptionally-landscaped backyard features an outdoor living area with extensive covered patio area and attached grill. Follow the tiered steps around the pool to the fire pit and sitting area that overlooks the creek below.

The home is zoned for top-rated Frisco ISD in the attendance zones for Spears Elementary, Hunt Middle School, and Frisco High School. To see this great home in person, contact Judi Wright at 214-597-2985 or [email protected].

People and their faux castles….. grow up. Like this idiot up in Kansas City that built a $15m castle and can’t even sell it for a 1/2 of that price now.
