Oak CliffFinding a rental home at a semi-affordable price point can be somewhat difficult in hot neighborhoods, which is why we grabbed this two-bedroom home in North Oak Cliff just as soon as it popped up in our search.

Located at 1022 North Windomere Ave., the well-maintained home has two bedrooms, one bath, and plenty of living space in its 1,378 square feet thanks to an additional sunroom.

Both bedrooms are generously sized, and the bathroom has its original tilework and is bright and clean.

A large living area with fireplace leads to an arched entry for the dining room and the kitchen beyond. The kitchen has white appliances, a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge, and is attached to a small laundry area with washer and dryer.

The older home has hardwoods throughout and plenty of period character and charm, but is still plenty modern, with central heat and air (including in the sunroom).

There is also a detached garage and a nice backyard for entertaining and play.

But even better — the home is close to all the shopping and dining on Davis Street, and sits in the highly-sought out Rosemont Elementary attendance zone, as well as Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy (which met state standards with five distinctions), and Sunset High (which met state standards and earned four distinctions).

Rent is $1,900 a month, and the home is listed by Ronald Weisfeld with Ronald A. Weisfeld Real Estate. Want to see more photos?  Click here.
