BEST Home to Showcase Art in Dallas, and Phil Hobson Wants You There

Share News:

Have you ever seen a home that was just built for great art?

We wrote about this incredible property, 10243 Best Drive , near Midway Road and Walnut Hill Lane, last December I think. Yes we did. The home is bright and open, with a full face of windows that let in natural light.

Which is terrific for so very much living, but most of all, the best for living with ART!

That’s why Berkshire Hathaway HS | PenFed Realty TX agent Phil Hobson is arranging an event this Thursday at the home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to network and enjoy the works of ten fabulous local artists who will show you how well their art lives in this house. The media ranges from jewelry to glassware to live painting.

From Eryn – Jewelry, to Jen Ayyad – Abstract Painting, Marisol Beltran – Glassware, Iris Candelaria – Large colorful paintings, Eric Hanson – Painting (Portrait & Other) – Live Painting, Angelica Lopez – American Gypsy Jewelry, Nick Mann – Photography, Karen Hall Nitz – 3D Artwork & Painting, Travis Rice – Wall Sculptures, and Patricia Rodriguez – Spray Paint Art, the 5712 square foot modern home by Nest Builds will be bursting with great food, wine, and great art in several media.

The home itself is a piece of art unto itself: a cool white brick with slate gray highlights features sharp lines and a modern feel — something of a signature look for the builder, Dallas home builder Nest Builds.

On entry, floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate the large foyer, which features dark hardwood floors and a unique, geometric banister in the front stairway. The foyer greets visitors, pulling them into a central hub, which flows from the formal dining room, breakfast area, family room, and formal living area.

And the most fantastic walls for art!

The kitchen is loaded with Thermador stainless steel appliances, a six-burner stovetop, oven and warming drawer, and overlooks the family room. Wait until you see the waterfall countertops. The home also has a catering kitchen with wine cooler, wine-rack cabinet wall, dishwasher, and more ample cabinet and countertop space.

The master suite is on the first-floor, just beyond the kitchen to the back of the house, and features a cathedral ceiling with exposed wood beams. There is also a bonus room attached to the master suite that can be used as a nursery, private office, or private sitting area. The master bath features a stand-alone shower with three shower heads and a separate deep soaking tub, with oversized walk-in closet and dressing area.

Upstairs are four en suite bedrooms with huge walk-in closets in each.

The backyard is a true showcase, and you will certainly find room for some art here: massive covered patio made for outdoor living and entertaining, plus a rolling lawn perfect for an Easter eggs hunt… or how about a few bronze sculptures? Or just get a pool, plenty of room for one.

We are loving Nest Builds, especially the more we see, like this great baby at 6243 Churchill Way  which has already sold. That puppy, located just east of Preston Road, near the Cooper Institute, and very close to chez Candy, also had great art spaces. Alas, Nest Builds will soon be creating another great home to showcase art. Stay tuned!

Looks interesting. The only problem is my work is not being shown as part of this event. Maybe for a future event?
