Jeanne Milligan will open her beautiful, eclectic Vendome unit for the 2019 Turtle Creek Association Tour of Homes on April 7.

Jeanne Milligan’s love for art and travel has presented the Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s agent with a unique problem — an abundance of wonderful art and decor for her tasteful and eclectic unit inside the luxurious Vendome on Turtle Creek. One of Milligan’s favorite destinations is Marrakesh, a spot where she often finds wonderful pieces for her home.

“Every time I return, I bring back a bit of art,” she said. And those treasures have made her beautiful high-rise a sight to be seen — one you can see for yourself, in fact, in this year’s Turtle Creek Association Tour of Homes. Milligan’s exquisite decor and superb views will be one of the five fabulous stops on the tour, which benefits the Turtle Creek Association‘s mission  to preserve, protect, and enhance the natural beauty and quality of life within the 87-acres of greenways and parkland of the Turtle Creek Corridor.

“I have some of the most beautiful gardens and parks all around me, thanks to the Turtle Creek Association,” Milligan said. “The whole area wouldn’t be the same without it.”

Of course, Turtle Creek wouldn’t be the same without the Vendome, either. The building is known for its luxury and amenities, and fabulous views of the surrounding area.

“Immediately, what drew me to the building was the view. I’m along the back of the building, and the view at night is a beautiful backdrop for my life,” Milligan said. “It’s completely full-service. It’s like living in a five-star hotel every day.”

Jeanne Milligan’s Vendome unit offers a look insider her travels.

Milligan enlisted designer Neal Stewart to bring her home together.

Turtle Creek, with its deep inventory of high-rise buildings, has become a destination for dining, shopping, and entertainment — a fact that ensures something new in the neighborhood every day, it seems.

“There’s always something opening, something new to try, whether a restaurant or anything,” she said. “People come from all over to the area — that’s another thing I love.”

And Milligan’s friends come from all over, too, for dinner parties with the downtown Dallas skyline as a backdrop. If that’s not elegance elevated, we’ll have to redefine it!

Inside her home, Milligan offers warmth, taste, and a view inside her travels. Milligan enlisted designer Neal Stewart to carry a common thread through her home, finding just the right foils for her art and decor collections. Milligan says that tour-goers should pay special attention to her art collection, especially “Have you seen those blue buttons? That blue is amazing” by Robert Jessup, pictured in the hallway above.

“It’s a large home, so there are a lot of large pieces, but they all look like they were meant to be here,” she said. “My favorite area of my home is a room I call the lounge. It’s a jewel box of a room.”

Milligan’s lounge is a jewel box, incorporating beautiful finds from her travels.

“I keep adding little finds and every time people come by, they see a new little fixture in there.”

Considering that the home tour is just weeks away, Milligan is focused on readying her beautiful Vendome unit. “I’m trying to de-clutter and organize,” but it’s hard to decide what treasures to store and what to leave out for tour-goers to enjoy, she said.

We have a feeling we’ll be wowed regardless!
