Realtor’s Personal Home in Richardson Heights

Open house: Feb. 23 and 24, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Realtor Lauren Hamilton with Mason Real Estate pitched us her own home in our Facebook group Getting the Dirt.

“This is my personal home in Richardson Heights,” she wrote. “Just hit the market today, with showings starting on Friday.”

Hamilton said the three-bedroom, two-bath home, located at 609 Lockwood Drive, has been renovated top to bottom, and you can tell. The most recent renovations include a redesigned open concept floor plan and kitchen, which were completed a little more than a year ago.

The bathrooms were also renovated recently, and Hamilton said that the home has gotten a new roof, privacy fence, French drains, and a foundation adjustment that’s still under warranty.

It is priced at $315,000.

Adorable Traditional With Two Living Areas

Open house: Feb. 24, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

With two living areas and a pretty galley kitchen, this three-bedroom, two-bath home in Greenwood Hills also boasts incredible curb appeal.

Located at 714 Silverstone Drive, the home is family-ready, from the kitchen’s granite countertops and backsplash, breakfast bar, and new oven, to the gas and wood fireplace in the living room to keep things cozy.

Practicalities have also been addressed — the home has a new roof, new paint, new ceiling fans, and a new sprinkler system, as well as a wood fence and automatic gate.

It’s also close to schools, shopping, parks, and an aquatic center.

It’s listed for $277,714 by Patrik Brodelius with Re/Max Dallas Suburbs.

Funky Midcentury Traditional with Open Floorplan

Open house: Feb. 24, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“This is the epitome of what we all want in a home,” said listing agent Harriett Shaw with Keller Williams Urban Dallas. The open floor plan at 708 Gaylewood Drive, with its new kitchen design, she adds, will “knock your socks off.”

And while the purple wall might not be for everyone, it’s just paint, and the cool tones and neutral choices otherwise will easily allow for more sedate choices, if a buyer desired that.

A second living area is perfect for a home office, exercise room, or playroom, and all the rooms have tons of natural light.

Shaw said recent extra blow-in insulation and six new windows will help the three-bedroom, two-bath home stay toasty warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The hardwood-style laminate flooring in the bedrooms is also a newer addition to the home.

The home is listed for $295,000.
