Sunnybrook Estates European MansionOur Monday Morning Millionaire is a spectacular Sunnybrook Estates European mansion at 5031 Deloache Avenue. The story of this home is an example of what a small town we really have in Dallas. I always say forget the six degrees of separation theory — we have only three degrees of separation in Dallas. If you know three people, you can access everyone. Especially in luxury real estate!

I can always count on Compass Dallas to make my luxury home search easy by rolling out something exciting every Friday. Christy Berry and Alex Kaliniak just listed this wonderful Sunnybrook Estates European mansion — and that’s where our world gets small. I could not quite put my finger on the feeling I’d seen this level of detail before, but not for a long time. So, I did some digging in our archives and voila!

I’d written about the home of Robert Trown two years ago. Trown, it turns out, is the residential designer responsible for this 15,402-square-foot Sunnybrook Estates European mansion. He’s also the creative genius behind Troy Aikman’s latest residence and countless other homes of notable figures that have sworn us to secrecy.

Sunnybrook Estates European MansionTrown’s imprint is one you do not forget. He doesn’t just draw up a house plan, he creates a lifestyle and a home that feels like it has existed for centuries.

“We are total concept designers,” Trown said. “We can do it all from the architecture and interiors to the art collections and landscaping. Our goal is to create a home that has a lot of details that people have not seen before. We bring a different sensibility to what makes a home feel warm and collected, instead of decorated. You are not concerned about what’s happening outside when you are in a house we design. You are enveloped by the house.”

Sunnybrook Estates European MansionWhat separates one luxury estate from another is, of course, the atmosphere created by that level of detail. There is an inherent warmth and depth to a Trown home. There is a story behind every texture, every object, every finish. You are not going to see anything you’ve ever seen before in one of his projects. His goal is to have you wonder about the origins of everything from the antique fireplaces to the limestone floors and silk carpets.

All of the maps slide into one another to reveal the television.

This lovely four-story Sunnybrook Estates European mansion has plenty of room for a growing family with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, four powder baths, eight living areas, four dining areas, an entire kids wing, a wine cellar, home theater, billiards room, and six fireplaces to keep everyone cozy on a winter’s night.

The closet of our dreams complete with Swarovski crystal knobs.

Trown had Bob Thompson Custom Homes bring his designs to life, and collaborated with Harold Leidner on almost two acres of lush landscaping complete with a sports court, putting greens, and a pool with a waterfall!

If you are not familiar with Sunnybrook Estates, it’s north of Bluffview and West of Old Preston Hollow. So, you’re in good company with notable Dallas philanthropists, musicians, and sports figures.

Berry and Kaliniak have this Sunnybrook Estates European mansion listed for $14.995 million.
