Cute East Dallas Cottage with Tons of Stylish, Functional Updates

Share News:

Deep in the heart of East Dallas, we’ve found an adorable cottage with huge renovations and even bigger style.

Our Tuesday Two Hundred is at 2333 Inadale Ave., near Oates Drive and Ferguson Road, and has a long list of great updates, from all new plumbing, electrical, and low-E windows to new roof, deck, and garage door. It’s cute as can be both inside and out with great curb appeal and beautiful interior choices. This home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,210 square feet on one story, built in 1957 and remodeled by Mark Stephens with Blue Ervay Homes

There’s an open house this Sunday, May 13, from 2-4 p.m. Want a sneak peek of this East Dallas cottage?

The outside of the house was painted and a cedar column added to the porch, as well as contemporary house numbers and new landscaping, fresh sod, and a new front door in a fetching blue color. Recently trimmed mature trees frame the house.

Across the threshold, behold the gorgeous refinished white oak hardwood floors, original to the house. They carry throughout and highlight the floorplan, which includes a flex space with sliding doors at the front of the house.

The kitchen is the heart of the home, renovated to be on-trend and impressive with white Shaker-style custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, a center island, white subway tile backsplash, floating shelves, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range. In the dining area, an Orla Kiely-inspired wall stencil is marvelously midcentury, as is the Sputnik chandelier.

Off this area through a new glass sliding door is the newly constructed deck, which creates an outdoor entertaining area open to the backyard with its lovely trees.

The first bedroom is that flex space at the front of the house. The other two are toward the back of the house. The master has an ensuite, totally updated with a custom vanity and shower. In the hallway, the other full bathroom is also updated.

This home was listed May 2 by Michelle Unwin with Ebby Halliday Realtors for $249,900.

Love this! Reminds me of the house I grew up in yet with wonderfully simple flair. They did a great job.
