Share News:

Open houses are like real estate on parade. Houses, condos, and townhomes don their finest to wave to the crowds and make an impression.

Today, the parade is led by the three properties in our CandysDirt.com Dallas Open Houses of the Week column. We’ve scoured the DFW listings and picked the ones to recommend for your weekend open house viewing. They all have that je ne sais quoi that makes them stand out.

This week, our houses range in price from $359,900 to $1.575 million. Will you take part in the real estate parade?

THREE-STORY MIDTOWN TOWNHOME WITH ELEVATOR

Open house: Saturday, March 3, 1-5 p.m., and Sunday, March 4, 1-5 p.m.

You gotta love a development so new, you can’t Google the address. The Merion at Midtown Park townhome at 8272 Milroy Ln. is just such a place, located near Walnut Hill Lane and Greenville Avenue. This townhome has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas, and 2,361 square feet on three stories, built in 2017. Big bonus: the townhomes in this gated community offer Environments For Living Platinum and Green certifications and energy-saving features.

With views of the trees at Royal Oaks Country Club, a resort-style community pool, and other great amenities, this development looks like a great place to entertain, even if it’s just yourself. The home has a private elevator, two spacious entertaining areas, and a contemporary island kitchen with quartz countertops, white cabinets and subway tile backsplash, and stainless steel GE Profile appliances with a five-burner gas range. The master features a coffee bar and an ensuite bathroom with a soaker tub, separate shower, walk-in closet, and quartz countertops. The townhome has a two-car garage and full-size utility room.

This home was listed Oct. 17, 2017, by Michael Matthews with Nathan Grace Fine Homes and Estates for $553,866, reduced to $548,866. Annual HOA dues are $1,450 and include front yard and common area maintenance as well as full use of facilities.

NORTHWEST DALLAS STONE RANCH WITH UPDATED GOOD LOOKS

Open house: Sunday, March 4, 1-3 p.m.

The newly renovated ranch-style home at 3756 Manana Dr. is in an up-and-coming part of Northwest Dallas, near Walnut Hill and Marsh lanes. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, 1,725 square feet on one story, built in 1950.

The floorplan has been opened up so the interior is light and bright with new low-E windows, fresh paint, new hardwood floors, updated electric, and upgraded fixtures. The HVAC was replaced four years ago. The updated kitchen has granite countertops, white cabinets, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range. The bathrooms are also updated. The fenced backyard has mature trees and a covered patio. The two-car detached garage does not truly function as such due to limited accessibility and would make a great guest house or mother-in-law suite.

This home is listed Feb. 5 by Kara Keeton with Re/Max Trinity for $359,900.
