Inside Story? What Happened at the Vaughn House Auction Last Week

Share News:

As we told you, the Grady Vaughn house on South Dentwood in the heart of Old Preston Hollow went to auction last Tuesday, February 20, at 2:00 p.m.

As with any auction, we waited with bated breath.

What happened? Did anyone buy the 9500 square foot terrazzo floor stunner on one of the best lots in the heart of Preston Hollow, 5350 South Dentwood?

The auction happened, but the week of torrential rain definitely kept people away. As you know, the bidding started at $2.9 million for a home once marketed at $6.9 million. The sellers did have a secret reserve, which we do not know… but we do know that reserve was not met.

But as luck and drier weather would have it, there is still time to get your offer in!

That reserve must be a little bit higher (than $2.9 million)… but the agents, Mark Woodling and Alan Press of United Real Estate, say now is the best to make your bid. You’ve got an extension!

All offers are due by due by close of business on Wednesday March 7th.

The estate is under the guidance of a judge now, so make your offer soon!
