Lakewood Hills Transitional by JLD Custom Homes is The Perfect Fit

Share News:

You could say that JLD Custom Homes were experts at building houses on Tucker Street. They recently completed their sixth home in this little enclave and it just so happens it is the only home available in Lakewood Hills for less than $1 million. The location is superb given that Tucker Street is a cul-de-sac that backs up on to the Santa Fe Trail, so you won’t have any through traffic. Just a peaceful neighborhood in the Lakewood Elementary School attendance area. With four bedrooms, a bonus room, four bathrooms, and a large backyard, this is a perfect addition to the neighborhood.

This 3,760-square-foot house starts with a dramatic ceiling 22 feet in height at the entryway and leads to a spacious open-plan kitchen. Wood flooring throughout the downstairs adds an extra element of grandeur to what is already an elegant first impression.

Stainless steel KitchenAid and Electrolux appliances grace the stunning kitchen, with an Electrolux fridge/freezer combination measuring 38 cubic feet. The hanging lights provide a subtle and classy way to keep the room lit if you don’t want the overhead lights illuminating the whole space.

The large fireplace in one corner is big enough to make the whole room feel like you are sitting by the roaring fire, even if you’re on the other side of the room near those huge sliding patio doors that let in a ton of light.

The open plan arrangement also lends itself to having multiple zones, yet still in close enough proximity to one another that a bunch of people can hang out in the same room. The kitchen features a huge island, perfect for informal entertaining.

The master bedroom is on the coveted first floor, so owners can have some privacy from the other three bedrooms upstairs. That also allows for great natural light to come in through the full-size windows, but note the clever way designers put some smaller windows near the top of the ceiling so that there can still be natural light while maintaining privacy.

The master bath and closet also make this master suite feel like a retreat from the rest of the world. With two vanities on opposite ends of the room, a freestanding tub, and a huge shower, the spa-like feel of the room is top notch.

The master closet is more than just a walk-in closet. It is practically the size of a bedroom.

Outside there’s a large backyard with privacy fencing and a nice covered patio for some shaded entertaining space.

This four-bed, four-bath home at 1806 Tucker Street is listed for $949,900 by Gia Marshello of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty.

We’ve only just covered the beginning of this great find. There’s a huge upstairs gameroom, study loft, an extra living room, and three more bedrooms. Here are even more pictures.
