Joan Trew of Williams Trew Real Estate…Fort Worth Icon!

According to our friends at Wikipedia, the definition of “iconic” is: “an artifact that is recognized by members of a culture or sub-culture as representing some aspect of cultural identity. Cultural icons vary widely, and may be visual, audio, an object, a person or group of people.”

The home at 3861 Bellaire Circle in the Westcliff Addition of Fort Worth would certainly be classified as an iconic home.  Not only for its astute Federal architecture and construction, but for being the former longtime residence of the chancellor of Texas Christian University.

For years this home has represented TCU and all that the university embodies.  It has held banquets, fund raisers, private meetings and plenty of other gatherings within its 7,000 square feet.  Now the home is on the market and represented by another true icon of Fort Worth, Super Agent Joan Trew of Williams Trew Real Estate.

One of the many living areas…if only these walls could talk

For over 30 years, Joan Trew has served Fort Worth and the greater Tarrant County area as a true real estate sales professional.  Not only is she a pillar in the real estate community, but in the philanthropic community as well.  Joan is a true ambassador of Fort Worth real estate, and it is only fitting that she is representing 3861 Bellaire Circle.

Access to the veranda and grounds are located throughout the home

Ironically, it was Joan who originally sold the home to TCU many years ago.  As she tells it, when she received the call to help find a home for the incoming chancellor, she personally knocked-and-knocked on a number of doors to find just the right maison for such a prestigious position.  The home wasn’t even on the market when she approached the owners with an offer too good to refuse. That’s just one example of why Joan Trew is an icon never to be duplicated in Fort Worth real estate.

This kitchen has hosted many TCU parties and gatherings

Originally built in 1948, the home is a splendid, spectacular, one-of-a-kind masterpiece that cannot be duplicated, either.  Not only is it located on a quiet, highly coveted cul-de-sac near the TCU campus, but the home site is picturesque.  Large magnolia and oak trees surround the property to provide a seclusion and an elegance that is rarely found.

The grounds of 3861 Bellaire Circle are amazing … wouldn’t you like this as a backyard!

The home features six bedrooms, five full and one half bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and multiple living rooms (oh can you imagine if those walls could talk).  Also found is painstaking attention to moldings, openings and windows that overlook a large fountain, swimming pool, and guest quarters.

3861 Bellaire Circle is currently available for $2,975,000 by the great Joan Trew. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience two Fort Worth icons.  They don’t come around all that often.

That’s all from Tarrant County this week Dirty Readers.  Remember, if you have comments, questions, snide remarks, or ideas for future stories — I’m always here to listen!
