PhillipMurrell HighCaliber Agent

It takes a lot of coordination to close a transaction in this business. First, you have to score a lead, then you tour every single property on the map, then you put in an offer …

But when you have people you can trust on your team — satisfied clients sending referrals and a lender you can rely on to get things done — things are so much easier. That’s why Phillip Murrell with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate is successful. His clients are thrilled with his level of service, sending him more business. And he knows how much a smart lender can help, which is why he works with Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans.

Find out the other reasons why we’re recognizing Phillip Murrell as this week’s High-Caliber Agent!

Real estate is a very competitive business. To what or whom do you owe your success?

Phillip Murrell: My clients. They are outstanding. Ninety percent of my business comes from the friends who refer business. I’m overwhelmed by their sheer awesomeness.

Outside of day-to-day business, what are you passionate about?

Murrell: My partner, Kyle, who keeps me grounded. My two dogs — Henry the Beagle mix cuddle monster and Dragon the Chi-weenie that could — they keep me smiling.

Outside of my family and friends, I’m a board member for Black Tie Dinner, which is a non-profit that raises about $1 million per year for organizations like the The Promise House, AIDS Services of Dallas, and the Resource Center. Dallas has been an incredible place to call home and I feel privileged to live here. Raising money to support people in need in my community is my way of showing gratitude for the city who gave a small town kid his start in the big city. Did I mention I love Dallas?

What (or who) is your inspiration?

Murrell: I sound like a broken record — my city and my clients. I owe all of my success to their support, and I try to show my gratitude and love for them as often as possible.

Why is finding the right lender crucial to your success?

Murrell: It’s paramount, especially in this market. Here’s why: Most of the best homes receive multiple offers. A pre-approval letter from a trusted name like Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans, in my estimation, does more for your offer than having the highest offer price. Pair that trusted name with a smooth transaction and appraisers who understand the Dallas market, and you increase your likelihood of securing your dream home, on-time with as little hassle as possible.
