The 2014 home at 2619 Leta Mae Ln. in Farmers Branch is the brainchild of Dallas architect John Shortall and custom builder Kenneth Schleback and is a modern masterpiece (Candy wrote all about it here a few months ago). This 3-2 has 2,325 square feet, constructed of steel and metal, even the interior doors, with soaring ceilings and gorgeous details. The kitchen is a Bultaup with appliances by Miele, Paykel, and Hobart. Industrial windows are energy efficient and heated concrete floors make for warm winters.

“The home is built as a home of the future, all steel and studs, no wood, built to last forever,” Shortall told Candy. “There is a geothermal system, not your typical AC system, and a fully developed solar system plus foam insulation everywhere, so it’s a very well insulated and green home, very economical to maintain.”

This home is listed by Grant Vancleve with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty for $995,000.
