100th Annual Greek Food Festival Weekend in Dallas: Here’s The Best Greek HOUSE in Dallas

Of course that home would have to be the residence of Frank and Mary Ann Mihalopoulos on 4400 Saint John’s Drive, which they have lived in since 2003. (The house was previously owned by a Trammell S. Crow family trust.) Nestled on almost 1 acre of secluded Highland Park prime dirt, the home has a gated entrance, and extensive property wall for privacy on all the grounds. I was fortunate enough to attend opening night of the Greek Food Festival at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, sitting with all the VIPs there including former State senator John Carona and his wife (always a state senator in my book), State rep Linda Koop, who used to be our City Councilwoman before Lee Kleinman, our current Councilman, County Commissioner Mike Cantrell, Sarah Dodd and her hubby, former Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle, and the heart of Dallas morning not-so-early TV, Good Morning Texas co-host Jane McGarry, the wonderful emcee.

The dancers were amazing, the food was great. You may not know that Greek food is my favorite, along with Italian Cioppino. My Eastern European background. We ate, drank, and celebrated the 100th annual Dallas Greek Food Festival  which supports Holy Trinity’s ministries, community outreach, and youth programs. The only excuse you have not to go is that you are out of town. Then I’ll do for you what I offered to do for Amy Severson, owner of Sevy’s Grill: go get you some Baklava.
