David Griffin: Ebby Halliday Masterminded the Best Brokerage Practices, Set Gold Standard for Decades

David Griffin
Ebby should be given credit as a founder for developing and masterminding the best practices for the brokerage of of residential real estate in the post WWII era.  Her style and business model became the gold standard for brokerage companies in the ensuing decades.  The emphasis that the Ebby Halliday Company put on agent education, MLS participation and cooperation, and community service are just as relevant today as they were 50 years ago. Although I never had the good fortune to work in an Ebby office, I’ve always known if I or any of our agents have an Ebby agent on the other side of a transaction, all of the details and communication will be taken care of in the most professional manner possible.  Ebby may be gone now, but not  the legacy of her excellent business acumen and entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
