Lease of the Week: Forget Red Wine in This Ivory Tower, You’ll Get Plenty Drunk Off The View

Every time I see an incredible condo swathed in white carpet and upholstery, I always think about how I could never live there because folks, I am accident prone and I love red wine. When I bought my first nice piece of furniture (an antique cane-back chair with gorgeous blue and white damask upholstery) I was so afraid to sit in it because I couldn’t bear the thought of staining it. It has since been reupholstered with a lovely cocoa nubby linen, with a liberal coat of Scotchgard.

But what I wouldn’t give to live in our lease of the week, a divine penthouse in Highland Park’s Crestpark condos. Unit 112 is simply ethereal, and the views are unmatched! You can lease it for a tidy $6,000 a month through Allie Beth Allman herself.

This beautiful condo has two bedrooms, three full baths, and more than 2,500 square feet that feels much larger, thanks to the open floorplan. This unit has tons of drama, too, with a gorgeous chandelier over the dining table, liberal sitting areas, and a fireplace. The kitchen is a galley-style affair with ample bright white cabinets, a marble-topped island and counters, and built-in appliances. The nearby breakfast nook has even more beautiful views and a wet bar, too. There are beautiful stone floors throughout, and integrated lighting, too.

The building, constructed in 1950, is situated on Lomo Alto between Fairway and the Highland Park Whole Foods. It is inside the Highland Park Independent School District, and feeds into Bradfield Elementary School. Besides getting some of the best views of downtown and beyond, you also get access to building amenities, including a pool.

But it’s the ample skylights and the views from every angle that are just magnificent. C’mon, how can you say no to that incredible view from your jetted tub in the master bathroom? Gorgeous, and worth all the Scotchgard in the world.
