Thursday Three Hundred: East Kessler Bungalow is So Cute Inside And Out You'll Squeal!

Candy forwarded me this home last week, and the subject line of the email was, “Cutie pie with built-ins galore!” She sure does know how to sell me on a home, because I love a good bungalow with a high cute factor.

You guys, she wasn’t lying. This East Kessler bungalow is totes adorbs. I mean, just look at all that curb appeal! The shabby chic paint on the exterior with the olive green shutters and the adorable porthole vent above the front door just kills me. I die. The trees in the front yard make this home feel like it’s in a lovely little grove, too. And it’s in the very hot North Oak Cliff zip code of 75208. Close to shopping and downtown, and a great family area. This adorable house at 1424 Junior is marketed by the Oak Cliff experts at Hewitt & Habgood for $350,000.

I know what you’re thinking now. “Sure, lots of homes have great drive-up and location. But what about the inside?” Well, hold on to your socks, folks, because you might just get them knocked offwhen you check out some of the fantastic architectural details inside this 1947 traditional.

First thing you’ll notice is the archways between rooms. The most dramatic are the scalloped archways flanking the dining room between the kitchen and living room. I just love them. It is a fantastic detail that is simple and yet very dramatic. Of course, there are tons of great built-ins, just like Candy said.
