6855 Arboreal Front

Merriman Park is a fabulous neighborhood. It’s just off Northwest Highway, south of Skillman and east of Abrams, so you’re a short drive from everything. It’s actually within walkin distance of the White Rock DART Rail station, too.

It’s close kin to it’s neighbor across Northwest Highway — University Manor — except that the topography is a little more hilly and the streets are a little better maintained. I do love how this is a fabulous enclave of 1960s ranch architecture.

6855 Arboreal Dining

One of my longtime friends lives in Merriman Park and wouldn’t live anywhere else. They’ve renovated their ranch to make it more modern and definitely more livable, just as the owners of 6685 Arboreal have. This home has tons of fabulous updates that make it feel absolutely posh, such as that awesome chandelier in the dining room!

6855 Arboreal Living

Here are the stats: four bedrooms, two bathrooms, formal living and dining, and a two-car garage with 2,220 square feet. Every inch is just fantastic, no? There are new hardwoods throughout, gorgeous designer paint, and a new roof, too. It’s marketed by Alan Hamilton of Dallas City Center Realtors for $359,000.

6855 Arboreal Kitchen

The kitchen is gorgeous, with new cabinets, coordinating granite counters and tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. Really, the only thing that bugs me about the kitchen is the electric range. If you’re going to upgrade your appliances, real home chefs want gas! Still, it’s a beautiful galley that feels sleek.

6855 Arboreal Master

The master bedroom is modest at 15×12, but it’s still a looker. But that’s not why I love the master suite. I love because, holy heck, that bathroom is incredible. I love the angled shower with the window, the platform atop which sits a claw-foot tub, and that wainscotting is so stinking cool! AND LOOK! THERE’S A CHANDELIER IN HERE TOO!

6855 Arboreal Master Bath

The backyard is great, too, with lush landscaping and a great deck for entertaining. There’s also a small shop in the backyard for working on projects, because hey, that’s a thing! (We’ll forgive that Texas Tech emblem hanging on their back wall, though!)

Don’t you love this home, too?
