Tuesday Two Hundred: Yes, It's Another Amazing Ash Creek/Alger Park 3-Bedroom You'll Adore!

This area is beyond hot — it’s smoking! Homes in the Ash Creek/Alger Park area are selling fast and for just about asking price — especially if they have been staged. This home has been staged by an expert, too, and I bet this listing — 9774 Twin Creek from Dave Perry-Miller agent Janice Parson — will get snapped up fast as well.
There are plenty of reasons to love this home, so let’s tick them off: Completely remodeled with museum-finish walls, contemporary decor, tons of natural light, more than 1,700 square feet, three bedrooms and two full baths, and there’s a two-car garage for $279,900.
If you’re about to balk at the price, consider this: besides having gorgeous hardwoods throughout and a brand-spanking-new kitchen, you don’t have to make any investments in this property. It’s totally turn-key and it has some cool architectural details for a home built in 1955. Take the slanted corner windows in both the dining area and in the den, and the neat pond in the backyard for example. If it were me, I’d come in with a bid around $269,900 and feel pretty confident.
But back to the kitchen. It’s so cute with the two-tone cabinets. I love it when a homeowner takes a risk with design and it pays off. Not many people would think to do two different finishes for their cabinets, but the golden birch kitchen doors really coordinate with the hardwood floor. It also warms the kitchen area the up and plays up the stainless steel appliances and clean lines of the vaulted ceiling. And the strip of mosaic glass in the backsplash is just enough color without being too overt.
The master bedroom has plenty of light, and buyers will appreciate the ceiling fan, too. However, I kind of feel like there could have been some color on the walls in here. Maybe a soft gray or a neutral blue? It feels a little sterile.
The master bath is absolutely coated in travertine, which is definitely an upgrade from some of the bathrooms I’ve seen in this area sporting the original funky-colored DalTile. That’s an acquired taste, for sure. Still, there’s only one sink from this vantage point, which buyers will expect from their master bath at this price point.
The backyard is all aces when it comes to entertaining. Guests can pass through the full-light backdoor from the den into the covered patio area, which features a fireplace for partygoers to cozy around when it’s a little chilly.
Follow the winding path to the garden area of the backyard, where you’ll find a pond with a modern waterfall. How relaxing!
So what do you think about this contemporary remodel in an up-and-coming White Rock Lake neighborhood?
