Monday Morning Millionaire: In My Dream I Went to Netherland — 5625 Netherland Court, That is!

Share News:

Amazing? Beautiful? Incredible? Stunning? Jaw-Dropping? I’ve run through the gamut of adjectives trying to describe 5625 Netherland Court, an unbelievable listing from the one and only Kari Schlegel, and yet every one of them falls short.

Is this love, that I’m feeling?

This five-bedroom home screams “ART COLLECTOR!” with a gallery hallway just off the foyer that feels like a museum. It flows easily to the living area, which feels like a palace with incredibly lofty ceilings and an amazing fireplace. From there, the dining area splinters off, and it is also an amazing place to hang your prized works.

A lot of the light in this home filters in through amazing glass doors framed with iron. They give the house a conservatory-like feel. Though this house is full of sleek stone and brick, it still manages to feel light and airy, no small feet for a 9,733-square-foot home!

My favorite part about this home, however, is the kitchen. The ceiling, with the brick patterning, and the gorgeous green cabinets make this huge chef’s kitchen feel as cozy as one half the size. The commercial-grade appliances — three ovens, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and a warming drawer — are just what you’d expect for a palatial home priced at $3.999 million.

Second favorite room? The wet bar. That counts as a room, right? I know the temperature controlled wine storage counts as a room for sure, and I could easily see myself spending quite a bit of time in there.

The master suite is so lovely? chic? It’s perfect, I’ll say. Huge, but not imposing, you can go to sleep every night feeling like you live in a five-star hotel. The master bath has one of the most complicated-looking showers I have ever seen. I would likely find some way to utterly screw it up, but still, I am impressed.

There are just too many beautiful pictures to put them all here, so I’ll leave you with a photo of the beautiful loggia and outdoor kitchen. Perfect for entertaining. Ugh. Love.

This house is exquisite and I am so excited to see it! That is a Joan Crawford shower FOR SURE, but I must add in location: not too far from GWB over there on Daria Drive — just far enough, and close to Preston Royal Shopping Center which is the second highest net worth shopping center in Dallas, if not the world. We just love our smaller Central Market, our abundant Tom Thumb, and one of the few functioning post offices left.

really, Preston Royal as one of the highest grossing centers in the world? the world? I'm sure Bal Harbour, Americana @ Manhasset and South Coast are quaking in their boots. anyway- this house is truly amazing. an Elby Martin masterwork. I was saddened to find out recently he has passed away at a relatively young age. hopefully the new buyer will actually furnish this wonderful house in a manner according to it's architectural superiority.

Don, maybe I exaggerated. Ray Washburne at all paid $171 million for Highland Park Village, or $684 for each of the shopping center’s 250,000 square feet. Most local real estate experts say that is the highest price ever paid in Dallas for that much high end retail real estate, certainly in Texas and likely the southwest. I've heard that Preston-Royal is right behind but you've got me curious now so I'm researching…
