Candy’s List: Let’s Help These People Find Their Very Own Piece of Dallas Dirt

Share News:

Meet Kellyn. Darling young gal, writer, blogger, SMU grad, we used to work together at D Magazine. Kellyn lived for years at The Palomar Residences, but now wants to live somewhere downtown, like maybe the Merc, two bedrooms with a roomie. Any suggestions as to where she should look?

William Gerlich here, or Trey (one of my very favorite names) is a young journalist (and blogger) fresh out of college and working his butt off over at People Newspapers. Young, darling, aggressive, he wants to move into Highland Park or University Park because that is the beat he covers. Doubting he can swing a UP starter home at $525,000 on his newbie salary, he seeks a nice garage apartment or, I thought, a caretakers suite might be nice. (Who knows, he may actually care-take.) Any ideas on where he should look?

Candy, I've always enjoyed the variety of topics/issues you cover, I'm still waiting on the post when you try and find some nice, young agent a significant other!

The Merc is not that good of an option. Service is poor, I suggest 400 N. Ervay it's small but it is one stellar property. Both parties listed in your post are welcome to contact me and I will get them squared away before Easter. Cameron H. Holland – [email protected]

Candy, you need to have Kellyn and Trey give Yana a call over at Uptown Locators. Yana is the queen of Dallas rentals! Every property knows her and they all love working with her. I personally have a very close relationship with Forest City the owners of the Merc and if Kellyn really wants to live there I can see about getting her “the family” discount. There really is no better expert on leases than Yana she has done over a thousand leases each year for the past three years! Her email is [email protected]

For Kellyn I would recommend either the <a href="http://www.irvrealestate.com/downtown-dallas-condos-the-mosaic/">Mosaic or The Metropolotian Condos. I'm sure she would love it there.

I'm sure we can find William a nice property in Highland Park within his budget.

Have either one of them contact me and I'll be happy to assist.

Check out The Terrace in VP. Did you know they just did a million dollar enhancement of all the cannon areas. The building looks amazing! Great location!

    Hi Candy!!

I can't believe you didn't let me know sooner! Remember our lunch at Sevy's? My nickname at Briggs Freeman has been "The Leasing Queen." I think we talked about that…. Anyway, if they haven't found a place yet, I would love to work with them. I have tons of ideas for cool places that would work perfect for both Kellyn and Trey's personalities… You know I watch the leasing market like a hawk between sales.

I would love to work with these two. They sound like great people! Have them email or call me at [email protected] or 214-364-2295. I want to find out some more details about what Kellyn and Trey would like, such as, how much they would like to spend, if they have pets, preferred move-in date, etc…

Either that, or I will call you or text you tomorrow to get their info. Been thoroughly enjoyoing reading your blog these days. My grandmother, Diane Cunningham, is also a huge fan of yours. She loves your posts!

Let's do lunch again soon… I've got some news for you! Plus, I was wondering if you ever got in touch with the producers of that show I told you about.
