Prudential Turtle Creek Moves to East Dallas Office, Finally Free of 2 Turtle Creek Village: Good Stuff

Share News:

Whoa, hold the presses. I was given some incorrect information earlier today and really need to clarify. Prudential’s Turtle Creek office has indeed moved, but it was no way a sneaky deal. Turns out the shopping center at 2 Turtle Creek Village recently went into foreclosure, giving the office a chance to break free from a lease that had been signed during the boom. It was a move that had been under consideration for over two years. The office had a meeting one month ago to discuss where they wanted to move, and everyone provided input on the ideal place. Prudential Texas Properties has 8 offices around the Metroplex, and most of the agents decided to office at the Greenville Ave. office in the interim. (Some agents are officing from home.)

“We even provided the moving boxes to the agents,” says my source, “we didn’t have to get out because of the foreclosure, but we had the opportunity to get out of a pricey lease that was signed at height of the market.”

Well, that’s better. But the security guard was very dramatic about the move last week — “they snuck out of here middle of night” he told me, and offered no information on the new Greenville office at 3404 Greenville. Guess we’ll have to get him to start reading this blog.

Looks like prime real estate just opened up in the hot uptown leasing market.

Candy-It was nice of you to put a retraction. I have been an agent for Prudential Texas properties since 2003. It is always my life practice to have mutual respect to all in the industry. I respect you so much because of your commitment to agents. I was the area 17 chairperson for 2 years and you always supported me and I know you will continue because on a personal note I went through a trying time with my dad's health in 2010 and you were so kind to tell talk to me which such empathy. During the 8 years with Prudential Texas all of the agents have been such a beacon of Joy. My dad passed away in 2010 and over 40 agents from both offices came to his funeral. My mother works in the office for me on Friday and every agent greets her with kindness and professionalism. I am very lucky to work with the fine individuals at Prudential Texas Properties. I have learned many great business practices from agents in our office and agents who have once worked for our office. I appreciate that you get what mutual respect should be. I will never forget your support during a trying time back in 201o and I appreciate you dearly!

If they paid the rent, then why is the furniture still in the office and everyone locked out?

Everyone is not locked out. Prudential still has the key and access to the office, but the equipment and supplies have been moved to the Greenville Avenue office and there is no staff present, so there is no need for anyone to be in the Oak Lawn office anymore. The furniture was not moved because there was already furniture in the Greenville Avenue office and no decision has been made yet regarding its disposition. The agents who worked in the Oak Lawn office have been and will continue to be involved in the process of choosing the new permanent location for the office.
