Candy Sale of the Week: Back-To-School, Leave-It-To-Beaver Feel for Less Than $450,000

Share News:

I see Ward and June all over this house, don’t you? In fact, this home just screams “family”. Or maybe, “come and get it!” Located on  nearly a half acre in Casa Linda Estates (off Garland Road, near Peavy)  with great drive-up appeal, large trees and lush landscaping, you get 2822 square feet that have been updated sensitively. Built in 1941, 1231 S. Selva Drive has has preserved hardwoods,  megatons of windows and natural light. The vintage kitchen retained pristine Geneva metal cabinetry, adding stainless appliances, updated fixtures and tile flooring. It opens to the large family room with built-ins, fireplace and a wall of windows overlooking the rich back yard. Master is upstairs, but I figure the family that buys this home won’t be any May-December marriage — they’ll make it up the stairs just fine. Actually, many families prefer the master upstairs when children are young. The master has a private staircase to the rear of the home and a gorgeous spa bath with walk-in shower, separate jetted tub, and double sinks. The two secondary bedrooms have remodeled baths with stone tile, floors and counters. Great yard, large outbuilding with electric, sprinkler system, recent HVAC, and White Rock Lake two minutes away. Listed by Hickman +Weber at $449,000, a 5% reduction (blonde moment) from $474,000 —  excellent pricing, I think, you?

    Your math’s a bit off, Candy. It’s a 5% reduction, not 25%.

25% would be $355k – an absolute steal for a half acre in East Dallas!!
