Eleanor Mowery and Nicky Sheets’ Home Sold, Closed: Dallas Real Estate News

Share News:

5844 Lakehurst closed this morning for an undisclosed (“Z’ed”) price to an as-of-yet undisclosed couple. Last listing price in MLS was $978,900 — recall when Ellen Terry had it listed for $1.75 million? (Check out the rooms, the buyers got a great deal!) The home had been foreclosed upon by two banks, and I think one was a failed bank, and seized by the IRS who described it as such:

“A two story house containing 4,860 square feet located in the beautiful and prestigious Lakes of Preston Hollow, which is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Dallas, TX. The house has a casual French design with a slate roof, a three-car garage, and a dining room view of gardens and a waterfall that cascades into the pool. Additionally there is a gourmet kitchen. The master suite has a wood-burning fireplace in the sitting room. There is a handsome library with custom bookshelves. Three bedrooms are located upstairs with a bath for each. The house has 2 wet bars and 5 fireplaces.”

I recall when Virginia Cook agent Kyle Rovinsky was at the first fire sale, which was held in the home just west of Preston Road in Preston Hollow back in February 2010, almost a year ago. Kyle tells me he walked into the freezing cold, empty house to find two federal marshals, a licensed real estate agent representing the Department of Justice, and representatives from two banks each with a lien on the property.

In fact, when Kyle walked in, one of the agents asked if he was Nicky Sheets.

So good to have the local dirt again, Miss Candy, we are all reading you! I feel kind of sad for Eleanor, actually. I would never have bought that house! But the buyers sure got a great deal.

The end of a saga, indeed! What will become of Nicky and Eleanor and does anybody know where they are? Is he really in prison? They were such successful agents.

I think Nicky is in prison and Eleanor is on her way. But Candy, we want you to keep us posted on who the NEXT Eleanor is in town. She pulled the wool over so many eyes, I just know there are other high profile agents out there doing the same. Let us know!
