Have you ever tried explaining the geography of North Dallas to people from out of town? It’s kind of confounding to some, who expect the city’s bedroom communities to slow down as they approach Interstate 635. But then, dear out-of-towners, you get into “Far North Dallas” territory, where you may live inside the Dallas city limits, but you may be served by Richardson ISD, or Plano ISD in some cases.

Call me snooty, but for reasons of convenience and logic, I prefer addresses within the loop. Lucky for me, there are plenty of great houses on the market south of 635 and inside the Dallas city limits, served by outstanding Dallas ISD schools and with wonderful retail and cultural amenities within a stone’s throw. And the architecture? It’s so homey and real, especially in Eudora Estates where this beautifully remodeled ranch is located. This listing from Keller Williams agent Sam Saladino is our High Caliber Home of the Week presented by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans, and it offers superb family living with an outstanding inside-the-loop location.

Does this Tudor look a little familiar? Perhaps it does if you’ve ever perused the pages of the July 1922 Dallas Morning News. That’s where it first appeared, beckoning homebuyers to Perry Heights for this “Home Beautiful” and “Electrical Paradise.” The history alone merits status as this week’s High Caliber Home of the Week presented by Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans. However, as Keller Williams Urban listing agent Sam Saladino can attest, the home’s charm will make your heart skip a beat!

Sam Saladino has joined Keller Williams Urban after spending the past four and a half years at David Griffin & Company.

“My time at David Griffin and Company was super fantastic,” he said. “I really enjoyed working with David and the crew there, one of the best groups of agents and staff that I have ever had the privilege to with.”

While leaving those colleagues and friends behind was tough, Saladino said he is excited about the new opportunities that await. He plans to expand his brand, and focus on bringing more depth and focus on creating synergy between his real estate services, staging and interior design.

On a day-to-day basis, there are two things that make me happy: a glass of good prosecco and Realtors that are genuinely jazzed about their listings. And I know when I choose a property represented by David Griffin & Company agent Sam Saladino, I will always get the latter. And there’s plenty to be excited about with his new listing at 5304 Livingston in West Highland Park, making it a shoo-in for this week’s High Caliber Home of the Week presented by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans

“From the moment you step onto the sidewalk, the house exterior and landscape welcomes you in a way reminiscent of post-World War II optimism, and the beginnings of the sophisticated suburban lifestyle,” Saladino said. “Classic brick, shutters, huge picture windows, and shake shingles combined for a restrained, cultivated exterior devoid of tension. Everything is ordered, balanced, in its place.”

Of course, once inside, you start to notice that there’s a level of taste and adventure that is irresistible!

Ask any home buyer these days and they’ll tell you that one of the biggest asks in their property wishlist is low-maintenance living. This is especially true of households that are downsizing from larger family homes and empty nesters. The solution? The patio home, and this week’s High Caliber Home of the Week presented by Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans is a perfect example of high-style, low-maintenance living in an absolutely enviable location.

When some people hear the words “family home” when describing a house, they automatically expect a beige yawn-fest with builder-grade carpet and a bonus room that will eventually be lousy with toys and a minefield of mismatched Legos. And truth be told, not every family wants to live in a house that feels boring, tired, and just another place for kids to scatter shoes and backpacks.

Lucky for you, Sam Saladino with David Griffin & Company has a listing in Kessler Park that combines family living and plenty of style. It’s a house for parents who like to host parties and for kids who beg off the occasional sleepover. It’s a split level with a split personality, and this Oak Cliff cutie is a shoo-in as High Caliber Home of the Week sponsored by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans. If you are in the market for a family home that doesn’t look like a “family home,” look no further!

It may not catch your eye immediately, but there’s just something about this adorable traditional cottage in Stevens Park Estates. The tidy front lawn, freshly planted flower beds, and colorful dark teal blue front door — it’s an absolute classic.

And if you think the exterior of this classic cottage is on point, just wait until you see the bevy of built-ins — a true neat freak’s dream come true — throughout.
