When you travel to Tuscany, you cannot help but fall in love with the lifestyle, the landscape, and the architecture. It never leaves your soul. If you’re very lucky, you can take the latter two elements and recreate them. That is what the owners of 4655 Meadowood Road did, and they accomplished it in my opinion. They created a perfect Italian villa in Old Preston Hollow. In fact, when the photos first rolled across my desktop, I was certain someone had sent me an Italian SecondShelters.com property for consideration. I’ve spent a decent amount of time in Italy, and I’ve never seen anyone get the look and feel quite so right before. (more…)

GetMedia.ashxIf you’ve ever thought you needed to compromise when purchasing a home, you’ve never seen one designed by Stocker Hoesterey and Montenegro (SHM) and built by Tatum Brown Custom Homes. Our Monday Morning Millionaire, at 3652 Stratford Avenue, is a “Highland Park modern Mediterranean” that has been designed without compromise… on any front. Which makes it just about the most perfect home ever! (more…)

“Estate” is a word we don’t toss around lightly. It conjures up those venerable English country homes that stand for centuries and are passed on from generation to generation. So when we tell you this is a Preston Hollow estate — it’s exactly that. And any Brit who’s inherited a stately pile, as they call it, would be green with envy over this classic European three-story, 12,976-square-foot estate at 5414 Falls Road. It has all the privacy and beauty of any bucolic mansion with the benefit of a perfectly placed location, minutes from the best private schools as well as the Dallas Arts District via the Dallas North Tollway.

It also has none of the issues that are part and parcel of those inherited halls, chateaux, and manor houses.

“It’s built like a commercial office building,” listing agent Molly Malone with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate, said. “The overall quality of construction and finish is impeccable. It’s one of the best built houses I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been in real estate over 30 years.”

Want to get a taste of opulent living? Tour 4835 Lindhurst in Preston Hollow today at 2 p.m.

If you are dying to see what Preston Hollow luxury looks like, today’s your day. Two gorgeous Preston Hollow estates are open for tours today, and they are not to be missed!

The two homes — 4835 Lindhurst and 4346 Park Lane — will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. today thanks to Dave Perry-Miller, Christine McKenny, and Molly Malone.

With four bedrooms and eight magnificent bathrooms, 4835 Lindhurst is top-tier at $5.75 million. However, 4346 Park Lane is nothing to scoff at. Priced at $5 million, this four-bedroom, six-bath mansion has 11,076 square feet full of all the bells and whistles you could want (and a 9-foot television!).

Seriously, folks. Get in your car and head to Preston Hollow as these are two gawk-worthy homes!

Of course, if you’re looking to score scrips, I’m sure they have the medicine cabinets locked down!

10045 Surrey Oaks is one of those dream locations in Preston Hollow where you are buying about the most blue chip land available. This is like buying IBM stock in 1985 or Apple in 1998. You are getting 1.5 acres on a cul-de-sac off Walnut Hill Lane and Inwood and it will always be coveted by the rich and famous. I mean, who knows, maybe Rick Perry WILL make it to the White House, after all. (And monkeys will fly…) Then he’ll come back and want to live on his own cul-de-sac (not too close to George and Laura Bush, of course) and you will sell him this lovely home, at a profit. Rick Perry will HEAL the housing market. He’ll create more jobs, he’ll nix Dodd-Frank and he’ll…

Just think what a wonderful buyer Rick would be: if he had three objections to the contract, he’d only recall two!

I digress: this home has walls of glass for beautiful views of the magnificent wooded lot and unique terrain. There is an open floor plan, with 14′ ceilings in formal rooms, stunning two-sided fireplace with stainless steel surround, a wall of built-ins, complete with wet bar, and easy access/view to the decked out granite and stainless loaded kitchen. All opens to a large deck with incredible views and space for elaborate entertaining.

The master suite has great views and a sumptuous bath with separate dressing areas and huge closets. Bedrooms on the lower level have that cute jack-and-jill bathroom deal, plus a den and adjoining office.

Built in 1998, the home is spacious but not overtly huge — 4304 square feet. In fact, the owners must have forseen a future thirst for homes of this size as buyers are increasingly eschewing the mega mega mansions. It has great wall space for a great art collections, though the windows rather frame the natural art outside. You get three bedrooms, two and a half baths, two living areas, library study and a 2 car garage. The price is $2,295,000 and give the size of the lot and the location, I think , not bad. Not bad at all. Listed with Molly Malone at Dave Perry-Miller & Associates.
