One quick glance through the photos and it’s clear: 7409 Dalewood Lane is the house that just keeps on going. Not only is this lovely ranch style home is completely move-in ready, its spacious, 3,200-square-foot interior offers seemingly endless possibilities for personalization. The drive-up is really something special thanks to the massive trees on the property. Overall, the landscaping could use a little TLC (I spy a few bushes that could use some heavy-handed trimming) but my goodness, those trees! I’m experiencing some arbor envy! Situated on a large corner lot near Dallas’ White Rock Lake, this gem is listed at $679,900 by Beth Arnold with Local Resident Realty.
Naturally, the real appeal of this week’s Saturday Six Hundred lies beyond the front door. Join us after the jump for some truly great, versatile spaces, four bedrooms, three full and one half bathrooms, and a master bathroom surprise that will have you sighing.
This is the first of a new occasional column here on CandysDirt.com, Splurge vs Steal. We’ll be looking at homes that offer something in common, but have a big difference in their asking price.
Casa Linda Estates sits on the northeast shores of White Rock Lake, offering close proximity to one of the city’s biggest natural assets. The neighborhood has about 450 homes, most of them built during the 1940s and 1950s. With large lots, big trees, and community pride, this area is popular among East Dallas house hunters.
Today, we’re looking at two Casa Linda Estates homes, one a splurge and the other a steal. Both offer a terrific location near each other and sit on larger parcels of land. But their prices are miles apart. Let’s take a look!
Folks looking to get into Dallas’ Lake Highlands neighborhood could do a whole lot worse than this week’s Tuesday Two Hundred. Situated on a large corner lot at 11034 Listi Drive, this home features a drive-up that feels like a welcome home hug. It’s adorable. And the interior isn’t too shabby either.
“It has a lot to offer,” said listing agent Nicole Thomas of Local Resident Realty. “To find something for under $300 in Lake Highlands is difficult. It’s a great house in a great neighborhood at a great value, and you can’t beat that.”
Some familiar faces in Dallas real estate are hanging out a new shingle. As of April 1, Local Resident Realty, a new brokerage serving Dallas with a emphasis on Lake Highlands, opened its doors for business. The new venture pairs C+N+T Real Estate Group with the pickaperch team – a package that partner Amy Timmerman describes as, “Six Realtors for the price of one.”
The six, specifically, are C+N+T’s Glen Christy, Robin Norcross, Jason Thomas, and Nicole Thomas together with pickaperch’s Timmerman and Beth Arnold. After years of working together informally, the six got together and decided to “do something great together.”
