Our Friday Five Hundred is so hot, it received a contingent offer before we could publish this post! And we think it’s before-and-after photos are worth sharing. In fact, since Kylah Boyd with Texas Urban Living Realty listed 10621 Ferndale Road, it has garnered lots of attention.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,700 square foot home with a pool, sits on a 0.24-acre lot in Lake Highlands, with an asking price of $560,000. But what really makes it special is its impressive remodel.  (more…)

Jason Castro has listed 10111 Champa Drive for $519,000. Open House Show with live music by CASTRO this Saturday, March 9, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This is the East Dallas home you’ve been waiting for! And we have all the deets thanks to listing agent and American Idol wunderkind Jason Castro. Yes, real estate has the musician singing a different tune, and his latest listing is generating a buzz all its own. The three-bedroom, two-full-bathroom charmer just hit the market for $519,000 and comes chock full of upgrades. These include tastefully updated baths, new plumbing, and a lush backyard that’s ideal for entertaining.

Robert Irvin with Keller Williams Central has listed 5231 Goodwin Avenue for $525,000.

We have a thing for Tudors, and this one is no exception. Ideally nestled on Goodwin Avenue in coveted Vickery Place, rests a 1924-built brick Tudor so good you’ll want to call your real estate agent right away! Tudors, known for their sharp rooflines, arched windows and doors, and adorable floor plans, are great homes for cozy living!

Vibrant Locale

The Vickery Place Tudor offers a prime address on a quiet street, mere blocks from all the foodie and retail action. We’re not kidding. Living here means you’ll have Greenville Avenue shops and Knox-Henderson haunts just steps from your front door! But that’s not all this historic home affords.

Ivy Kessie with Rogers Healy and Associates has listed 5717 Penrose Avenue for $595,000.

Want the feel of a luxury home but at an entry-level price? This luxe Lower Greenville gem is just what the doctor ordered, literally. A little birdie told us it’s being sold by a wonderful physician, who loved raising his daughter here. We can see why. The three-bedroom, two-full-and-one-half-bathroom home is zoned for top rated Mockingbird Elementary, previously Stonewall Jackson. Even better? It’s updated for modern luxury living, indoors and out.

Over $70K In Upgrades

According to listing agent Ivy Kessie with Rogers Healy and Associates, “The owners spent over $70,000 on the home since they purchased it four years ago, including brand new HVAC, roof, siding, garage doors, and more.”

Eye-Catching Curb Appeal

From the outside this Tudor stands tall with gorgeous curb appeal. We can’t get enough of that bricked facade draped in a delicate blanket of ivy. And the front porch marked by elegant archways is die for!

Who doesn’t love a house with a red door? That’s how agent Michelle Blackburn of Dave Perry-Miller Preston Center pitched us this Briarwood beauty through our new Facebook forum, “Getting The Dirt.” Blackburn says the three-bedroom, two-bathroom charmer is “cozy and ready for all stages of life…for a buyer that is beginning their homeownership experience or a downsizing, low maintenance buyer ready to simplify!”

And it’s a perfect fit for our Friday Five Hundred. We adore the heavily treed lot and bright red door, but the real show starts once you step inside!

A Home So Hot It Went Under Contract In Three Days!

Sometimes, it’s fun to look back and reminisce. Such is the case with this fantastic Hollywood Heights listing. Back in February I wrote: “If you’ve been wondering what’s selling in Hollywood Heights THIS. IS. IT! We first came across 511 Clermont Street last week, and knew we had to feature it on our Friday Four Hundred. But we hit a minor snag – the three-bed, two-bath charmer flew off the market faster than we could say traditional Tudor!” I guess you could say we have an eye for real estate. The home, as the title so implies, went under contract in just three days. You can read the full post here. (more…)
