No other home I can think of typifies this great compliment to our city like 11442 East Ricks Circle. OK, I’m a wee bit biased as this home is in my ‘hood and I walk by it’s glory every time I walk Bree on the Circle. This is a one-owner home, built brand spanking new and solid in 1990, and it has never been on the market.
Thought you saw some celebs zipping around town this weekend? It was movie week in Dallas, and film lovers enjoyed great screenings at the Angelika from the 42nd annual USA Film Festival, the city’s oldest festival, notably a restored digital print of Marcel Carné’s Children of Paradise, the original True Grit (with Kim Darby in attendance), and a screening of the beloved The Princess Bride, part of a tribute to Rob Reiner, also in attendance.
I was looking over this adorable listing, 5737 Palo Pinto in the Belmead area of Lakewood, and it reminded me of something. Still, I couldn’t put my finger on it. The teal paint and umbrella, the landscaping, and the clean accents were calling from somewhere else, somewhere much more tropical. And then it hit me … it’s 100 percent Conch Republic style!
I love Dallas, y’all.
We’ve got a lot of things going for us. Take our beautiful Arts District, our growing Southern sector, and our rebounding downtown, for example. And according to Standard & Poors/Case-Schiller Home Price Indices, Dallas is maintaining its ground when it comes to residential real estate.
