I saw this home pop up in my search today, it’s first day on the market, and I was stunned. In Ridgemar, a fantastic West Fort Worth neighborhood, you can get this totally remodeled 1960s ranch with three bedrooms, two full baths and one half bath, more than 2,400 square feet, and a whopping 0.39 acre lot for $380,000. You’d pay at least $400K for that in a comparable Dallas neighborhood!

Just goes to show that our wonderful neighbors to the west have some great deals. Maybe it’s time to move to Cowtown?

Really, though, it does highlight how much you can get for the money, especially in this great, family friendly area. So, why is 6304 Inca Road priced at $380,000? Well, it’s a lower price allowing for some cosmetic updates to be made to the home after recent foundation work, according to the listing information from Williams Trew agent Jackie Prowse. Still, even with the cosmetic work, which we’re guessing are around the outside of the home, this house is a fabulous deal!

Every dang room in this 1964 ranch has been updated. The kitchen opens to the living and dining areas, and there’s a gorgeous free-standing vent-hood that coordinates nicely with the more traditional color scheme and stainless steel appliances. There’s a beautiful bay window in the breakfast area, and you’ll love how easily the kitchen island flows into the living area, too, which is accented by a large brick fireplace.

The master bedroom is a healthy 17 x 13 with walk-in closets and a five-piece master bath adjoining. I love the moulding in the master, but I’m not crazy about the carpet. In fact, the hardwood floors throughout the rest of the home are really lovely, so I’m just a little bummed by the carpet in the bedrooms. Hopefully there are hardwoods underneath. And the chandelier? Sure, it’s cute, but this is Texas. We need ceiling fans in our bedrooms.

In the backyard you get a panorama of this huge lot. It’s perfect for letting the kids off leash to run around to their heart’s content! The large, mature trees add a lovely canopy of shade in both front and back yards, which will help cool the house during the summer. There’s also a spacious partially covered patio, too, and a large driveway off of the two-car garage. What a great spot!
