If you’re looking for design inspiration — and a good reason to house tour — head to Southlake.

The St. Jude Dream Home Showplace, now open in the Carillon Parc neighborhood through March 22, features five newly completed luxury homes built through a unique effort benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The project began with a simple but ambitious idea: what if a charity show home became an entire neighborhood?

That concept brought together Atwood Custom Homes, Beckett Graham, Heritage Homes, Kensington Custom Homes, and WillowTree Custom Homes, each builder committing to raise $200,000 toward a $1 million fundraising goal for St. Jude.

The purpose behind that commitment is powerful.

“The average cost of care for a child with acute lymphoblastic leukemia — the most common form of childhood cancer — is about $500,000,” said Jennifer Kimble-McCauley, area managing director for St. Jude’s fundraising organization. “At St. Jude, families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food so they can focus on helping their child get well.”

Each Riviera Lane showplace reflects a distinct architectural style, from European-influenced design to crisp contemporary lines.

One, from Beckett Graham, features interiors by Dallas designer Donna Moss — a familiar name in local design circles. (Fun fact: Moss was HGTV’s first reality star, thanks to her early series Donna Decorates Dallas.)

“I wanted the rooms to be interesting — not just your typical house,” she said.

“Showplace homes should deliver a few surprises.”

It shows. Spaces unfold like a series of design moments, from a speakeasy-style lounge to fashion-inspired guest rooms and bold wallpaper installations that add a bit of theatrical flair. The home’s contemporary architecture gave Moss room to play with texture, pattern, and statement details that make the spaces feel memorable without taking themselves too seriously.

Custom wallpaper includes the message: No Child Should Die In the Dream of Life.
One of the homes features a Hope Garden.

All five of the houses include subtle nods to St. Jude patient ambassadors — quiet reminders of the cause behind the project.

“This kind of support makes a real difference for the families who come through our doors,” Kimble-McCauley said. “It means they can focus on their child and the hope ahead.”

The St. Jude Dream Home Showplace continues through March 22, with tours available March 7–8, March 12–15, and March 19–22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Carillon Parc neighborhood at 1812–1828 Riviera Lane in Southlake.
