Good $300K Homes DO Still Exist! Here’s a Great One in Oak Cliff
Share News:

What better way to start off the New Year than with this picture-perfect, well-situated, and beautifully updated Oak Cliff home — and the best news of all? It’s wonderfully affordable. Yes, with this week’s Highlight Home of the Week, sponsored by Lisa Peters, Senior Loan Officer with First Horizon, you can truly have it all: location, style, and affordability.
Let’s take a look.

Together with cute-as-a-button curb appeal, this 1962-built home has a large front yard with lovely landscaping and a mature shade tree just waiting for a rope swing. This yard is ready for a good game of tag, don’t you think?

As you enter, the home is light and bright with modern updates, including white oak flooring. This large open concept family room has a sleek fireplace and glass door to the patio. The kitchen opens to the family room with a sit-in bar, which is great for entertaining or a casual meal.

The kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and bright white cabinetry. There’s room adjacent to the kitchen for a convenient breakfast nook if you choose.

The formal living room lies beyond the kitchen and foyer. This flexible space is ideal for an additional living space, or could be used as an office if needed.
The primary suite is on the first floor and boasts a lovely remodeled en suite bath. Upstairs, you’ll find three additional roomy bedrooms and one bath. The upstairs has fresh carpeting, and one thing I noticed is that all the second-floor windows seem to have such pretty treetop views!

Outdoors, the property shines with a pretty, landscaped backyard with a paved patio and privacy fence, along with a separate HUGE driveway with covered parking and garage. The home is ideally located, moments from Kiest Park, the Kiestwood Trail, and the Kiest Park Conservation Area, plus easy access to the Oak Cliff Nature Preserve for weekend adventures.
With a recently updated HVAC and energy-efficient windows and modern updates to the interior, this Oak Cliff home is turn-key with a great price under $400,000 — and in a terrific neighborhood.
Ebby Halliday Realtor James Fairchild has 3711 Ovid listed for $389,000.
A lovely property. To headline this post as ‘300K house’ is misleading at best.
Fair point, we could have said homes under $400k. We used to have a category called Tuesday Two Hundred/Three Hundred for homes in those 100k ranges, but those became so scarce, we seldom write for that category. I admit I got excited when I saw $3XX,XXX.
