The beloved Parade of Playhouses is back. Dallas CASA’s signature community event returns to NorthPark Center from June 13 to 29, 2025, marking its 30th anniversary. CandysDirt.com has been a media sponsor since 2016 and have written countless stories about the playhouses.
The Parade of Playhouses showcases custom-designed children’s playhouses built and donated by local architects, builders, and organizations. The whimsical structures will once again line the hallways of NorthPark Center drawing more than a million visitors during the two-week run. Each playhouse is available to win via raffle, with proceeds directly benefiting the children served by Dallas CASA.
The event was launched in 1996 as a way to raise funds, recruit volunteers, and raise awareness for the needs of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. It quickly became the agency’s largest “friend-raiser,” with many of its current volunteers first introduced to the mission through the event.

In its 30 years, more than 370 playhouses have been raffled off to support Dallas children in foster care. Designs over the years have included castles, rocket ships, movie theaters, windmills, submarines, and even a car wash — each one a small-scale symbol of hope.
Dallas CASA’s mission is to protect children, restore childhood, and help victims of abuse or neglect reach their full potential. In 2024 alone, 1,009 trained volunteers were appointed by judges to advocate for 2,042 children in protective care. For the past six years, Dallas CASA has provided an advocate for every Dallas child in need — a milestone few CASA programs across the country can match.
The CASA Parade of Playhouses takes place June 13-29 at Northpark Center, 8687 N. Central Expressway. Stop by, walk the hallways, and find your favorites. Then purchase raffle tickets for $5 each and place them in the box of the playhouse you need the most. If you can’t make it to NorthPark, don’t worry, there’s a chance to view the playhouses and enter the raffle online.
This year’s builders and architects include two long-timers — Butscher Construction and LRO Residential, who each return to the playhouse tour for their 16th respective builds. Several builders and architects are repeat participants, including Austin Commercial with Corgan, Stainback Construction, Omniplan, and more.
